RE: The Shermans are in at Mato
I'll still get a Sherman but I'm going to wait for the price to drop a bit. If I can't fix the suspension then it'll be something I can let others drive while I do some target practice with my Tiger [:D]

I could live with the colour (i'd repaint it anyway) and the electronics but the suspension has put me right off.
ORIGINAL: rivetcounter Your M4 would be better fighting there equals the Panzer IV and Stug III these are the tanks they most frequently engaged and you could also take pictures or make films of your M4’s fighting Panzer IV and put captions on like “our boys take on Tigers just like they did in WWII
By the time the allies reached Europe the Panther was just as widley used as the PzIV. In 44 and 45 more Panthers were produced then PzIV's so theM4's were just as likely to run into Panthers as they would PzIV's (depending on how unlucky they were that day.)

RE: hl tanks
The Pershing is the best straight out of the box. I've had mine for about two years and had no problems (running indoors on carpet). The Tiger is more prone to problems and needs a bit of tweaking to make it run well.

I meant BB battles (these are BB tanks). I think all Leopards have the same frequency and the Abrams use a different frequency.

Im not sure that these are "Battle" tanks. Just seen this one - [link=http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hobby-Engine-Leopard-A25-Radio-Control-Tank-HE0807_W0QQitemZ330367057115QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN?hash=item4ceb693cdb]LINK[/link] and it doesn't say anything about battling two tanks. Most people seem to swap the electronics for HL ones.
ORIGINAL: xlr8_87 I get the recoil and sound, just no firing.
You don't get any recoil or sound when you fire the bb gun, you only get that when you press the K button. To fire the bb gun you have to push the left stick up. But like Swath says your gun will have been disabled to get it through custom (usually they just switch it off but sometimes they cut a wire).

I thought they'd only just gone on sale?[:D] Look I know it should read $189, but to someone who's new to tanks and not a member of any forums it looks like the price was $109.00 and is now £149.00 (just thought it may put people off).

Take the crystals out and pry the legs apart slightly (sometimes they're not seated properly). I had this problem when I upgraded my T-34. If that doesn't work then open the tank up and check all the wires.

RE: TIGER or no TIGER?
But if someone is going to read a WWII War novel then the chances are they are already interested in this type of thing and would know what a Tiger tank is. OK if you ask someone in the street what a Tiger tank looks like then the chances are they won't have a clue but then they wouldn't be buying a War novel. Putting a line drawing on the cover may make it look like its a book about the development of the Tiger and not a story about the tank crew. I remember the old "Janes Aircraft" books used to have line drawings on the cover and Sven Hassel would have an action scene. torpedochief - Look at other bookjackets that cover this kind of story.

RE: Most Popular RC Tank Type.
The "Tiger" is a legend. If you think WWII tank then most people think Tiger, followed by Sherman or T34 (depending where you live in the world) It was the first 1/16 scale tank by Tamiya and Henglong and I think it has the greatest worldwide appeal.
