I'm not sure if the x-c's come with the agressor radio still...even though it is a decent radio for a ready to run truck you should still want to upgrade which brings me to this question: what radio system should i put in my x-c? i can spend up to about 150$ anyone got any links or good suggestions??

RE: help with throttle arm please!!!
this is perfect as im tuning my new engine right now, first off how much of an adjustment are you making? Adjustments should be made in very small increments at a time like 1/16th or an eighth of a turn either way. For a smooth idle and power band you need to adjust your low-speed needle valve. Use the idle stop screw to set your carburator opening size. Dont use it for adjusting power band. Your need to make sure that when you are setting it, the carb is, at the smallest, 1/16th opening. If you carb is set properly, the opening should stay the same from when it is just idling to when you brake. You might have to mess with trim settings on your transmitter too. Only make small adjustments as the idle set screw is very sensitive to adjustments. Also set it with the engine off first, its a lot easier. Then once you have taken care of this start to set your low speed needle vavle. This is for idling speeds and your power band from idle to wide open throttle. Again only make small increments. Clockwise will lean, Counterclockwise will richen. Dont be surprised if the engine does speed up a bit, this is normal. For your probelm I would really focus on the low speed needle valve setting. If you richen to the point where its sluggish and very coarse sounding then start to lean in very, very small increaments until you have good power through out the power band. If you have good power and when you stop the engine is still reving very high then this is where u adjust the idle set screw. As for throttle arm and brake adjustments, im not really sure what you mean. You should be able to adjust by the arm on your servo, some more info will help me. But if all else fails take it to yuo LHS and ask someone there to show you how to properly tune your engine. I hope this helps you at least a little. I'm not an expert but i have tuned some what a lot of engines. If you have any mor questions feel free to ask them

RE: How do you Removed the tire from the rim
if you dont mind waiting u can also soak them in a bucket of acetone over night, you can do it right before u go to bed and they will be ready righ twhen u wake up. It probably doesn't take that long but it works for my friend all the time. the acetone doesnt cost much (home depot) and u can always reuse it.

Brake Closes Carb Please Help!!!
ok i just installed a new O.S. .18 CV-R into my x-cell. I started to set up my linkages and everytime i press the brake on the transmitter the carb comes close to closing the carb opening all the way. The idle setting doesn't stay, it closes. I haven't run the motor yet but if this problem isn't fixed it will cause the motor to stall out everytime i use the brake. I've tried everything and nothing seems to fix my problem. This is my first engine installation so i could be missing something but i need some serious help.

RE: Official XTM X-Cellerator thread!!
annie, correct if i'm wrong (because i'm no where near being a rc veteran) but doesn't a pipe affect the way the flow of exhaust exits the engine? If you have a pipe with more flow the hp or power of engine should be increased even if it is only a little just like a real car but then again i understand that this is r/c. and if a pipe doesnt make a difference what would be the point of even having aftermarket pipes?

LRP's .18 VTEC
I have a x-cellerator and want to replace the stock .18 XTM engine with LRP's .18 VTEC i think it would be a direct drop in but the VTEC is a side exhaust, does anyone know if i can buy a exhaust manifold that would wrap around and put the pipe in the original spot? is this even worth it or should i go buy an o.s. engine? any good, powerful engine replacement suggestions will be appreciated

RE: Official XTM X-Cellerator thread!!
I need help with a replacement engine for the stock .18 XTM engine. The XTM engine is rated at 1.3 hp, so im looking for something more powerful. Any small block will be fine and for anyone who can help I started disassembling the stock .18 XTM and I dont know how the remove the flywheel from the shaft. The thread on the shaft is normal but when i turn the flywheel to the left to loosen it the motor turns over with it. Now i was thinking about taking a wrench to the shaft, holding it in place, and then unscrewing the flywheel. This is the first time i've ever disassembled engine so i dont know if this is right can anyone tell me if this is correct?

Motor Rebuilding
Some quick questions for anyone who can answer: How do you rebuild a motor completely? What exactly does a lathe do? What should I look for in a worn motor? How does a comm stick work? How often should i replace brushes when bashing and what should be the replacements? How much does everything needed for motor rebuilding cost? Sorry, for all the questions but im going to rebuild a motor soon and I need to know these things.

RE: Up's for my car
Motor should be one of the first things you upgrade but it really depends on what you want. I upgraded to a trinity speed gems 15x2 Titanite motor and an A.I. Automatic super reverse esc. The difference in speed is ridiculous. Next i bought a new Porsche body with chrome rims and tires, and a whole carbon fiber set that i just put together. So now my once stock TC3 has all carbon fiber(graphite), new motor, esc, rims, and body. This is what i wanted but it really depends on what you want.
