RE: Where to buy a BIG Cat??
Why dont you try http://www.radtekpowerboats.com/ He has the rights to Hanspeters molds ( HPR ) to build the HPR 2.33m 92" in USA. Im told they are very well layed up. Think thats your best bet Ciao

RE: Brisbane Model Marine offshore photos
ORIGINAL: wetsleeves Nice boats, and the pics are great. The Miss Geico looks like a CT03. The second and third cat looks like Danny,s (Sonic Racing) cats and the other cat (Maritimo) looks like one of Mason hull. Im only guessing so I could be wrong......
Yes your right, except for 'Miss Geico' bubbas boat, its another Maso. Very nice pics i agree! Best ive seen in Aus as far as Rc boat pics go.

RE: cant make up my mind
The pic of the Red & white cat looks to be the 41" Falcon they also make, not the 29" Phantom. The 29 Phantom has a different hatch. - Just thought id point that out. Heres the 29" in the same colours. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/29-Phantom-catamaran-cat-ele-nitro-speed-race-rc-boat_W0QQitemZ140312101182QQcmdZViewItemQQptZRadio_Control_Vehicles?hash=item20ab40c13e Note these are a little ugly compared to the 41 Falcon? Cheers..

RE: LittleScreamers or Hacker A50-14l Turbine Motor
Im not trying to take you away from this forum as its a great site. But try asking details about this motor and boat you plan to put it in over at offshoreelectrics, or rumrunner. Theres been alot of talk about these motors and whats best setup with them. Cheers Ryan

RE: LittleScreamers or Hacker A50-14l Turbine Motor
I dont know how to put this without me sounding like im bagging you or being rude, im not But there is no way your ever going to see 10hp out of your zen, rcmk, sik etc. This is what you call dreaming. Also Hp is not how you should look at it. Theres builders out there that have been around for 20-30 years and can make a motor run close to it, but there purely a lil dyno queen motor. Put it in a boat and it will have no torque, (which is more what your after) because of the extreme timings and therefore wont push any prop you throw at it. Besides the ignition on these motors wont support over 20,000 rpm for to long, thats if you ever got that, again a dream result. This is why all the big names out there are all around the same power and specs, Toxic, CC, Butch motors, etc That invisable wall they all hit, nothing around just yet for them to produce a reliable setup that surpasses the present. Sorry just dont want another person to get screwed over these ebay star chasers!! my 2 cents

RE: Doing it double rudder on rio 51 pre assembly pics
Umm if your worried about drag, should you be goin with the dual rudder in the first place? As far as i see it, this hull is never goin to break the sound barrier, so whos to care about a lil more drag huh. Adding the dual rudder should make it a much more enjoyable sport boat. I just like the look of the dual rudder alone, think i may do it to mine

RE: Some things I've done to my Rio...
That clutch looks like the one alot of Rc boating shops stock. I have one on my Rio and at first couldnt be more happier, i was like HELL YEAH WOULDNT BE WITHOUT A CLUTCH!! BUT...... after having mine for a month and using say 3 times a week, id always noticed alot of powder build up on the inside of my hull from the clutch shoes, thinking oh it must be just bedding in i left it, well that was until i herd a TING TING every couple of rotations. The spring had broken and it flicks around in there and does terrific damage!! So when you bring it in if you ever notice it isnt idiling really low i bet the sames happen to you. I ended up buying the spring they use in Enforcer clutches and havnt had an issue YET.. This happen to my mate that has a rio aswell, wasnt just me. Just a heads up

RE: Painted the inside of my boat
I painted mine black first, thought it would look neat! Hated it, couldnt see oil or leaks of any kind, so i ended up repainting silver in a 2pac with several clears. Ive spilt plenty fuel and wash out with de greaser after ev time im finished and its been fine!

RE: Mystic Cat
Best to ask at Offshore electrics or rum runner racing, ive read countless threads where hulls this size and bigger have had all sorts of different setups.

RE: Mystic build
Where did you get your Castles from? Fastelectrics? Apparently he has had little returns at all. But everywhere else they're blowing left, right , centre. Well more the HV240 i guess. Any reason for why you didnt just go with the Schultz? Normally people just dont want to spend the extra money, but i notice you have quite a few expensive hulls sooo? By the way, where are you in Australia? Could meet up and give the Scale cats a run some day .. Hope to see a run of the Mystic soon, cheers.

RE: view of rc boats from a rc plane check out the video
Wow Nice footage! I agree with above, someone needs to go tap one of those Pro Trex drivers and ask if they can chase there boat around, im sure with there skill level they'll be nearly as low as the boat when filming haha. What a Video it would be!!! Nice video
