wow do these tires sure stick!!! Waaaaay better than the HPI stocks. My steering and control improved dramatically, but im still going to weigh down the front some more with stick on wheel weights. I definitely recommend Dirt Hawgs as a MUST HAVE upgrade.

thanks red! I went out of my way this weekend to visit a hobby shop about 40 min away from town but it was worth it. Lots of stuff you dont see in my city. I picked up a tire/wheel combo, ProLine Dirt Hawgs with Black Desperado Wheels. Although those wheels were meant for a Rustler/Stampede/Jato is was nothing a 5/16 Drill bit couldnt fix [:D].

UPS delivered my package from A Main Hobbies last night and i finally have the firestorm put back together Baked and strapped the tires. And gave it some negative camber but i still need to adjust it a bit to they are both the same length on either side

So i was brain storming with my buddy and were thinking of adding some stick on wheel weights to the front of the chassis. You guys think this will help the front wheels stick more to the ground so i can have tighter turns?

We got a good laugh out of it lol so yea it was I'm not quite sure if the servo saver has gone loose, not even to mention i have no idea what the servo saver is haha I did though take the servo out before the incident, turn on the receiver and set the trim to center then reinstall it but i think it was my doing not centering the rest of the steering arms correctly. I should maybe have the LHS take a look at it so they can either do it or show me how.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
So yesterday i got together with some friends to drive the R/c's around with some friends ( yes as you can already guess something was damaged....AGAIN!) We were having fun drinking a couple beers and driving the r/c cars. My buddies Slash 4x4 could not keep up with me in a straight line but when it came down to turning the Firestorm light front end would make these really wide turns causing the slash to win in an up and back race. Were thinking of putting some stick on tire weights on the front of the Firestorm to see of that will improve the handling. My buddies Slash ran low on battery and mine was still going strong. So i handed over the Control so he can have his first experience driving it. Needless to say he was impressed. As he was taking it down the street for a high speed run the Firestorms lightweight body and lack of steering control led it right into the rear tire of a parked pick-up truck at full speed.... [:@][&:][:o] I'm hoping the two LHS that i have near by have these pieces in stock

They told me to ship it to them along with a letter stating whats wrong with the item. Guy i spoke to over the phone just said do that and we'll honor the warranty behind our product. Luckily I work for a shipping comapny so it's already packed and ready to be sent out. This will save me some $$$ for now until i decide to upgrade anything. A Big thank you to everyone of you. RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Man feels like I havent been on here in forever (just a couple days lol ) Nitro the D8 looks nice man, great job on it. Well alot has taken place these last few days with my eFirestorm Went through three Turnbuckles [:@] but I guess thats what I get for bashing it lol I decided to bring it to work today just for some fun before work and during my lunch break. Was driving nice this morning, I wasn't gunning her full power just maybe 1/2 throttle and driving around some safety cones i set up. I let the battery cool down then plugged it into the charger while I was slaving for the man. Lunch time came around, I turned on the Radio, Plugged in the battery, set her down, pulled the trigger and.......Nothing?! [&:] Thought maybe the battery wasnt plugged in correctly so i checked that and it was fine, Radio batteries had charge, Wheels would turn left and right but no throttle response. Lights on ESC are working and respond to the radio So it couldn't be that until i saw this...... Could that be my problem?

I keep forgetting to upload the pictures =\ Just received the Turnbuckles yesterday and I replaced the one that was bent. The others seemed to be undamaged but i'll find out soon as I get it running again. Concerning the Turnbuckles, is there any specific way or any tricks you guys know so these are aligned properly and in the same position as the ones already installed and/or how to properly align the two front tires? Don't want there to be too much of a camber difference between the two front wheels, Feel this may cause some veering problems down a straight away.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
ORIGINAL: nitro-rob Hit by what? If the damage is good its customary to post a photo..... I finally got my hitec X4 charger running. I made a power supply from a computer ATX power supply and it works really well. The charger is just four B6 chargers in one fancy case with high quality connectors. They are identical in look, feel and operation to my chinese single charger versions. I assume this is a common set of guts that Hitec has lisenced from someone and that it was cloned and that hitec didn't clone someone else. I assume these guts are in more than one legitimate charger. It warmed and dried up and there is good driving weather again. I have mothballed the storm for now and am driving my flux HP. Its weight makes it easier to control than 1/10 vehicles on the cold asphalt I finally got rims to mount my 2.8 inch road rage (summer only for those although I will likely run 2.2 road rage and save the 2.8s for the savage XS). Photos to come.
I 'll get a photo up tonight soon as i get home. it was run over by a Mini Van ....Edge of the rim was smashed, tire was slashed and the ball joint arm has a slight bend in it making it lean over to the right when trying to drive straight. From now on im not taking it out unless i go to a park with a wide open area and no cars LOL Rob, how'd you end up making your power supply? Something happened to the one it came with?
