RE: Century Jet P40 interior kit-very cool
LDM, I was looking at the Century Jet Site and did not see the P-40 Cockpit listed. Do you have a P/N for the kit or where it was located on the site. Thanks Yogi

RE: Hangar 9 P-40 Warhawk
I love mine just a perfect weekend warbird for low presure sorties. The only issue I had was the stock mechanical retracts were way to light duty for even smooth grass use and had to upgrade to Centuary Jet replacements which with a little wing mount mds work dead solid perfect.I fly mine with a 1rst generation OS91 Surpass with a 3 blade Master Airscrew 14x7 and a Kaleo exhaust just love those strafing runs followed by a victory roll just right Flying Tigers Rule.Yogi[>:]

I'll 3rd that bigtime, Thank YOU CCRCC and Rick B for allowing us the chance to get some quality flight time in together. This was a great rust remover for most of us have not flown in competition for a long time. The day was perfect awsome weather and not so much as a broken prop ever happened. BCNU Yogi [:D]

RE: FlightPower 1500mAh EVO 25
LiPo batteries should never be warm after or before being charged. Sounds like the charger was hitting the pack pretty hard if it was warm after charging. Check that charger before you use it again. What are you using that battery for in a 30% model?

Look in the classified section of Model Airplane News or Model Aviation Magazines, Had my glow plug thread repaired in an OS 70H by Clarence Lee. His work is flawless and turnaround is fast you had to look real close to even tell there was an insert there. Yogi[;)]

JR 12X Add Looks Just Great!!!
Just read the new add in Model Airplane News last night and boy does it look nice. The 12X has a long list of features that will benifit all types of flyers. This radio would be a great long term investment for just a few hundred more over the long run. Check the add out and lets get some feed back going here! Yogi[:D]

I just bought one at the LHS and it looks great. Nice light weight excellent covering with real monokote great instructions. I'll be putting my TT46Pro in it with Hitec HS 625 MG servos and Electron reciever. The only thing I'm changing is to use metal pin clevises(Dubro) and larger wheels will be flying off grass. When I get her flying will post my experience. Good Luck Yogi P.S.

RE: H9 P-40 Warhawk and CJM Retract Issues
Just finnished my install last week of these retracts in my H9 P-40 and as everyone says they are not drop in but will fit without major mods. I made a sandwich of three 1/4" plywood rails and JB Welded and screwed these to the original rails. Then used the brass threaded inserts for 6-32 Button head bolts which dont require washers. I did redo the side air fitting on the cylinder and drillred it out took some 3-32 brass tubing bent 90 degrees JB Welded in to the hex so to clear the wall in the retract bay. I put 4 flights on her this past Sunday and everything worked flawless and with that 100 degree angle extension taxing was so much nicer. I didnt have to modify the wheel wells at all just had to open the front farings a little more foward. Walt[:D]

ys .63 DAVE?
Hey Dave, After running my .63 in nice and rich it has come time to adjust the valve clearance, I just opened the valve tappet cover, and there is no clearance between the valves and the tappets. I looked into the exhaust port for signs of a burnt valve and it looks ok with a bright light compression is still good and as a said i ran it nice and rich. It was running perfectly before removing the cover. So I'll reset the valve clearance and fire her back up, unless there is anything you would adivse apart from sending it in I'm in Aus. 0.1mm is the clearance to be set, should it be hard to get the feeler in? and if i dont have a feeler is there something i can use other than a feeler of 0.1mm? and the gasket isnt damaged will it be ok to reuse? Cheers, Loving the engine Will Its been run in on 20/20 coolpower oil and nitro (home mixed) os f plug and a ram 12X6 prop

Clean all oil off the bolts and nuts then get some blue loctite liquid thread locking compound. You should be able to find some at your local auto parts store. The blue stuff is not permanent so you can take things apart when needed. Yogi[:D]

The motor rating 2808-980 is designed for best operation on 3 cells it will run on 2 cells but the power will be down even when going to the larger prop. The 2808-1160 is the 2 cell motor. Yogi[;)]
