take a look at these tires
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVPROFIL=++&FVSEARCH=lxdu17&FVPROFIL=++ im planning on using these on the rear wheels on my rustler, are they a good choice for driving on smooth pavement? should i match the front wheels with the same tire, or can i still use ribbed fronts on pavement?

who cares if a thread goes to a different topic, thats just where the conversation went. theres also no need for overreacting oasis. your post made you look even worse. everyone else seemed to be able to keep it civil. and dont talk to me about saying childish things, i dont think it hurt anybody. but i could be wrong, maybe some people have extraordinarily fragile egos[:)]

RE: two stage shock OIL :P
since weights of oils means different densities, wouldnt they layer inside the reservoir, much like oil and water? then when the pistons move through them, it wold be choppy at first, then start to mix them into the average. oh wait i guess youre right. i read about the dual stage things. sounds cool, theres two pistons and they slide together when compressing, and separate when rebounding.

two stage shock OIL :P
ok ive asked about two stage shock springs. it then occured to me that i should throw out the idea of filling a shock reservoir with two or more different weights of oil. im sure someone's thought about this or done it before. spoil it for me and tell me your conclusions [:D]

RE: Snow Driving
yea it's the electrolytes and ions in the water i believe. the electricity actually jumps across salt ions and hydroxides.

RE: Snow Driving
covering your esc with a balloon prevent not block air flow to a DAMAGING level. you arent running it with a balloon every day of the year, just a few times in the snow.

RE: Snow Driving
i love it when people just go"electricity and water dont mix..." as if it's some ominous foreboding legend told by some ancient sage of knowledge. "my son, these two mystical forces shall never be mixed, or you will be in GRAVE DANGER!!!!" omg!! no one has ever mix them, who knows what might happen, maybe it will create a wormhole to hell...it might give birth to demons, or blind you permanently, or WORSE! really not that big a deal. we're not chucking our rc's into a lake. they are not submerged. protect components that matter. clean and dry things afterwards. thats it. no fires will occur. no one will die. parts can be replaced. if you havent take an rc into the snow, you should. show the world you arent a baby.

RE: battery charger post #387440285
the only reason i said i refuse to search is because i didnt want old results. maybe your opinions have changed about chargers since those posts, and maybe theyve come out with new chargers since then... im looking to spend no more than like 80 or 100 bucks. one i need a 12 volt supply for is no problem. elmo, the duratrax piranha is what im trying to REPLACE here!!!!! i dont trust it. plus it has a pretty low limit, and i want to get better batteries eventually. by the way, why would you ever want to slow charge a pack? doesnt peak or fast charge make the most sense? also, why is there an adjustable current on chargers? why dont drive as much through them as possible?

RE: Snow Driving
ive run my electric rustler countless times in the snow. i wrapped the receiver, esc, and steering servo each in it's own balloon. everything is absolutely fine. the worse thing that happens in a couple screws start to rust on top. but i guess thats why they call it a RUSTler. [:D] but yea protect the components and youre A-ok.

hahaha thanks guys...the batts only get warmish. i think the charger gets hotter, that might be whats smelling. but yea i guess the charger just blows 130 bucks for a triton is a lot though

batts = full when smelly
i have a pair of 1500 shark nicads, and the only way i charge them fully with my piranha peak charger is to plug them in, peak them once, then peak them again until theyre warm. then i peak them again and wait until i can smell them from across the room. then i run them. this seems to give me the best charge. it seems a little weird, there might be something wrong with my charger..but yea if i peak once they get a crappy charge. anyone else run into probs with this charger?

yea "swap" the motor leads back to where they were before. then, on the transmitter, push the servo reverse switch for the throttle. noob.
