well it depends if you are more off a hydro guy or a cat guy.....what i mean is do you drive in smooth water all the time or do you drive in rougher water? cats will handle a little rougher water than hydros...as you probably already know..[:D]

RE: MISS VEGAS OS VZM 21 video
my exhaust coupler didnt fall off. what fell off is the thing that connects the flex cable to the flywheel, probably because my engine seized so it spun off. and i didnt notice much of a difference, it wasnt running long enough for me to really tell.
ORIGINAL: Jerry Dunlap I don't think shortening the pipe would blow the engine. JD
I didn't think so but it was weird that on its first run after I cut the pipe I blew the engine.

RE: MISS VEGAS OS VZM 21 video
I pm'd Jerry Dunlap and he said the tuned length should be 8.25 to 8.5. I cut mine to 9.75. I figured id start with that. (and my my silicone tube for my exhaust is only so long.) I took it out earlier today and after my 3rd straight away i spun it out because i dont have a good turnfin. My engine cut out and when i retrieved it the coupler was off, i then realized the engine was seized, i took the head off and i cracked my piston[:@] and there was chunks of metal on top of my piston[:o]. I'm pretty sure i over rev'd it, and i was just wondering what you guys think. Did this happen because i cut my pipe or was it just a coincidence? I didnt take the rest of it apart yet who thats all i know happened.

RE: MISS VEGAS OS VZM 21 video
is it bad the way I'm running it now? Like for my engine or anything? Just want to know out of curiosity. When I cut it, is it best to cut off the pipe or header, and how much should I cut off to start with? I'm thinking about 1/8 inch increments? I really appreciate the help. this is my first nitro boat, leaving electric for good! Thanks, Aaron

I have the macs tuned pipe 3.5/.19-.35. I have not cut the pipe or manifold. Would cutting the pipe or manifold increase speed? The pressure fitting is 6 & 5/8 inches from the center of the piston. -Aaron

RE: Best RTR 1/8 gas buggy
ORIGINAL: tcblr I was in your shoes not long ago and I decided on the Sportwerks Turmoil RTR and I have been very pleased with it. It does cost a little more but it includes the Spectrum radio and it''''s competative if you decide to race. I think Amain has them listed for $439.00 and if you do a search here on RCU you can find a $25 cupon code bringing it down to $414.00.
im looking at getting a turmoil i went to amain and there they are 509.99 but they do have a turmiol pro for 279.99. i was wondering if that .21 is good or not(will it be to slow?). i want to find the RTR for cheap and i thought you found me one but i guess not. when did you see it for 439? and you get the $25 cupon off of amain or what? thanks for the help.[:D]

RE: HEY! YOUR NOT A BARGIN ANYMORE!
The low price is an old school marketing technique. You start low to get people to buy. Then once you start building your name your prices start to go up. Obviously they are not in a position to compete with xray and high end brands so they''ll keep there prices in the sweet spot for their market. Their market usually being beginners and those on a tight budget. So, they''ll price them right where they can get the best combination of qty of sales and profit margin.
sounds like my economics class...lol
