RE: Turboprop - Slow acceleration
Felipe.... this is Gonzalo posting from another computer (in the flying club) We did some testing and these are the values we got. Idle at 55.000 rpm- Power 072 and 470º C Max at 180.000 rpm. Power 366 and 540º C Odly enough, the turbine was running better today. We still did a learning run taking the turbine to full rpm and then lowering click by click when the PW levcel was stable. Acceleration now is around 7 seconds. Yesterday it was around 11 - 12. We will try to fly the Tucano again to see if the problem comes back or it has been finally solved. One thing I did noticed, is that now starts are not as smooth as they used to be. Before, as soon as you would initiate the start up process, you could tell that the gas would ignite inmediately. Now, the gas would ignite after three or four spools. Some times you can hear an explosion and some flames coming out from the exhausts. Plug value is in 33. When it came back from the factory it was around 28 - 29 but we had problems igniting the gas. Could have been that the temperature here is around 15º C. Any ideas about this ? While the turbine was in the factory, did you change anything in the turbine ? The fadec is the same ? Was any type of upgrade done to the fadec ? Before it went back to the factory, the turbine was starting very smooth and we never had this delay in acceleration problem.

RE: skymaster f-86diet?
ORIGINAL: G.KERR JR. alan i beleive that model was bare bones - no cockpit ,no pilot ,i don''''t think the doors were even on it. how many batts, etc. getting one to fly and having one ready to fly RIGHT and FOR a COUPLE HUNDRED flights is two diff things.
G.KERR JR. i was the builder of that SM sabre, the one from michel´s video, the model was maidened with the scale cockpit, all the doors, 3 lipo´s, power box with the lipo regulator and 600 grams of leads on the nose, we will have to remove some lead when the scale pilot arrive so no extra lead will be used, later i will fit the pilons an scale external tanks and see what happend, the plane have been flown like 10 times with no problem, i was real surprised how good this sabre fly with the super bee, it is real fast, the customer is very happy so do i, im sure that you will have no problems with the Falcon, take care..

RE: Sky master L-39 plus
Hi kelly, u still can mount those outer gear doors with no problem, im gonna use one heavy duty Dubro hinge then a couple of ball links attached to the gear strut, about towin towout, hard to explanin but let´s see, if u mount the main retract directly to the base/support on the wing without any shim u will have to adjust the position of the wheel in order to keep it away from any part inside de fuselaje, now if u extend the retract u will see a big amount of towin that´s why a had to use rear shims, i forgot to mention that if u don´t use any shim i am pretty sure that the inner gear door, the big one, will not be flush with the belly, to avoid this u have to lift a little bit the two outter holes in the main retract gear using flat washers maybe but u can do this easily with rear shims too, the gear strut wiil be out of the fuse so, by using rear shims i reached two goals, keep the two main wheels perfectly paralles when the gear is down and by lifting the two outside holes on each retract gear mechanism the inner gear door will not touch the gear strut and will be flush with the fuse belly, i will post some pictures later my friend, take care...

Those 2 plywood spacers should be in the rear two holes of the main retract gear, you may need to adjust them a bit, i hope not much.
