RE: .21 Zippkit ready to go
Fuel tank is OK fuel is coming out the carb. I cover up the metal tank whenever possible. I can add a fuel shut-off inline . The H-7 prop works great.

RE: .21 Zippkit ready to go
I believe I have a leak in my metal fuel tank. Every time I looked inside the tub, I had fuel inside my engine bay.I have pulled the tank and have it setting full on a white paper. That and I added .004 on the head button. I did notice some detonation on the head button. The case looked OK the metal may have come off my 3rd channel. It's more for a larger engine as the needle was tight all in. I needed more. I am using a different needle Fuel lines look OK The water line is restricted.

RE: Central NEW YORK boaters
ORIGINAL: gassertom To All, Our new club (approx. 35 members) held our first race this weekend.  The race was well attended by racers from NY, PA and Canada.  Many of our members are new to competitive racing and how a race is run, but the event was fun for all with very few mishaps / missed calls, etc.  If you haven't read the background on our pond, check out the posts under clubs and ponds ''Canandaigua NY Test Pond''.  Trophies were provided on ''marble-like'' plaques with photos of the winner and their winning boat on the trophy. We hope you will consider coming to one of our upcoming races, check out our web site at www.vpmcobras.com/stonypond.htm. Tom
thanks Tom for the help on my nitro cat. You are right about the fuel needle being lean. I should leave things alone. And stop messing with my needle settings.

RE: Central NEW YORK boaters
yes the island is back, it's lower than before. You can see over the mound. We never notice it anymore. The pond is 2' low The pond was like ice flat .We even got some racing in. Craig and I got the .21 rigs going.I lost Ricks driving is coming along He's a good driver already. Took me 2 years to get right. I still mess up sometimes. We test 2 times a week. Getting kinda easy now. Chuck & Lin got the rigger fever, 2 new guys. Chuck ran his gas Vee. Not bad for being out of the hobby a few years. -A little rusty but coming on fast. Now Bob's a rigger man ,the gas JAE was really moving. setup nicely. So look out, we got 2 guys taking twins for next season. LOL

RE: Central NEW YORK boaters
Rick I have several remote needle assemblies. And base. You going with a 3rd channel remote needle. The only proportional radio system I found was the Spectrum-In my price range. . Craig and Roger have Futaba upper end transmitters. They must have it in their system. Now that I think about it your not a pistol guy anyway. I have the setup in my .45 JAE. the last time I was playing with it I crashed. It's setup on the 3rd switch on wheel base, not in the grip. I didn't have that option on the system. Rigger fever AY . I am fixing the rear 45 tub the damage to the rear transom was more than I noticed at first glance. I wonder if adding a side tab would be better. ,I talking placing the rudder to the side panel. You can't reinforce the transom from the inside -no room. bolts are too close to the side.

RE: Central NEW YORK boaters
Joe's billet I ran once mostly a stall. Some minor cutting may help, they don't do anything setting in the box. I really like the billet speed wise. A big prop to turn. Most of the guys I ran with in London had a small prop 220 looked like. A Shuland prop is pricey but they do turn some great speeds. I got a H7 getting done by Brian over at Rocket City Racing. He does good work, too. Every time I try to mod a prop It's junk after I'm done. I haven't mod-ed a prop lately.

RE: Central NEW YORK boaters
Craig the more I pull on the cord ,the more I like your starter. My nitro pop-ed- over a few times just adding the glow driver, this summer. Never seen that one before. Gas is kinda over this season for me. All my gas engines need rebuilding. I didn't want to break anything more this season. Gas just chew up leaves. Walt's old insane sport hydro, may get some time in. Haven't wanted to drive her as she looks show room. I can be hard on a hull as everyone has seen. I better practice some first. I'll be ready this week or weekend. I have 2 sets of pipe/header combo to test on my .21 rigger. I cut the carbon fiber pipe so that the header will slide inside the pipe 8 1/2-long. The AB is cut to 8 3/4 @ the wide spot

RE: OPS 67
Screw in until you stop and then try 3 1/2 turns out , on the main needle. the top screw is to hold your linkage nothing more. You should test with a load on the prop.or in the water, Prop size? pipe length. ? what hull ? looks like a rigger from pic Prop X455 X460 Pipe length 11 1/2- 10 1/12 " from plug to wide part on pipe Some have a low speed screw on the end under your linkage. Use that to set your idle.

RE: Central NEW YORK boaters
The shower will be mandatory@ Stony. I hope. Even Dick took the shower. Ric was missed, Luc. Joe my gas JAE QD combo was ready, until I blew the engine during open waters. The .21 JAE came in 3rd in Open Rigger & 21 Hydro. I hung onto lane 1 I wasn't the fastest. Some one put the QD piston head in backwards. [:@] the new one hit the headbutton ,no gaskets. Craig's .21 JAE was moving with the prop change. . He always says I'm faster. Not this time. I'll gladly take 3rd. He ran a smart race. I was using a Carbon fiber pipe. The pipe rattled loose due to a weak pipe mount. I finished with a AB pipe using my old mount. I did kiss buoy #2 and the ball flew like a field goal. My sponson was not broken. A driver friendly course. the buoy's weren't fatal when hit. I may have hit the ball with my tub. LOL Bob was rock solid, he placed a really large field. good driving The Vector Vee ran with the best of -em Thanks to all Dick, Rick, Craig and Bob. and OVR Who put out a first class race event.
