Hull looks good to me. Maybe some trim tape from the auto store. That Marine Specialties struter, I haven't see in a long time. center of gravity should be 1/3 of the 40" or 13.3" from transom. Add some Speedmater trim tabs & your good to go.Add some spin fins & a auto bailer your choice.

New but old hydro, I recently received an old MODEL BOATING WORLD NEWS DATED SEPT 1968 it has a LITTLE HUGHEY .19 POWERD HYDRO BLUE PRINTS also part 2 OCT 68 .The hull is 24"x12 1/2 " the prints are to scale.I f any one wants a small hydro sent me a PM I will mail you a copy nice little build. my copier is a little small .How did we receive the JAP .12 FREE PLANS? It was a download I think But how??? A trip to Staples will have to do I don't have auto cad installed. The fuel tank is a home build made out of a 4 1/2 oz .liter fluid can. The mount made out of 3/16 fiberboard.

Of course Old school.Like Ron said that's how it was done. A new radio box is a wood build for that old Dumas hull. Actually the soft gasket tape is in great shape. The cracked drill hole is on the corner I can still use it. I believe it was Lexan .That drill bit may have been a little dull also It's getting cold up here time to build ,my zip rigger awaits I am on the list for the 21 hull also LOL Thanks guys Neil

plexaglass radio cover crack
I went to replace my radio box cover with 1/8 " Plexiglas. It is screwed down with button hex screws. The Plexiglas cracked when I went to drill holes .Am I using the right material ?

sig resin & lite fiberglass or 30 min epoxy remove all hardware & fill up boat with water look for leak .You need to get down to raw wood to seal , patch then reseal all

I also tried to get a 21 pipe, no 21 pipes until next year ,manufacturing problems Got a Katistrator the K21 also the 21 FAT pipe from AL Hobbs from the IW site $ 69.95 each with S&H comes with a pressure fitting

Love them trim tabs FlogginHarvey, are they Speedmaster? My old wood hull is 12-15 years old. I just got rid of that old hardwood motor mount ,Speedmaster is top shelf.

Do you plan on racing competition or just hang out with a fast boat . I like the ability to turn left. What I like about wood is you can cover up a hole with a wood dowel sand down & repaint. How far along are you ? Here I added stryo then 1/32 ply. epoxy all in, flotation
