RE: GAS/GLOW HOW TO....
You can run a glow engine with brass bushings on gas/glo provided that you have a 10-12% oil mix in your fuel

RE: GAS/GLOW HOW TO....
try your gas engine with your ignition and gas/glow fuel and you'll get more power and smoother idle, and I agree with Bob (av8tor) that a rich Idle will make it vibrate more

RE: Post here if you rn Gas/Glow engines
Well Captin!!! what can I say!!! I started this thred years ago and it still getting peoples attention, since then I have converted dozens and dozens of engines for my buddies and myself everything from Ryobis to Echos which are the ones that I like the best, We have converted from 18CC weadeater up to 52CC engines, the secret is to find the right carb and the right tunning, Ive noticed that the walbro WT433 carb is the one that works the best, I will try one with a chinesse carb that comes with the engines that I am selling and see hoew this works, because I can get these carbs directly from china, also it is very important to use the O.S. "F" four stroke plug that's the one that works beautifully.

RE: Ryobi tuning help
I know I shouldn't say this but that was going to be my second guest, the metering needle being stuck or to open, because you mentioned that it would only run after choking then it would sotp, that means no fuel through the metering needle, and then when the metering lever that lifts the needle is to high you thend to overflood the carb and thus the high needle is hard to set. I hope that the changes that you did work out for your engine. Good luck

RE: Stihl 56CC gas/glow conversion - need feedback
I would mix 1part glow fuel and 1 part heat(metanol) this would make your glow fuel 7.5% nitro and 9% oil then I would go ans take 1 part of this mixture and mix it with 2 parts 91 octane gasoline; at the end you will have aproximately 2.5% nitro, 3.333% oil, 27% methanol and 66.6 % gasoline which wil work fine with the engine. but remember to mix the heat and the glow fuel first, one question though is Heat pure methanol or does it have other ingredients in it, because these other ingredients may cause the fuel to split just my guess, but go ahead and make a smal batch and see wath results do you get.

RE: Stihl 56CC gas/glow conversion - need feedback
if you fuel is not mixing maybe your fuel is contaminated with water and makes the oil to separate from the fuel and remember is 1 part glow fuel with 2 parts 91octane gasoline
