RE: micro drifting
I woulden't recomend putting the PVC over the tires. If you don't have anything to machine it with, then just try the next higher size. I haven't tried that size, so I don't know how it will fit. Make sure it is concentric. It will take you a long time to wear out a set of PVC tires.

RE: Iwaver tanks?
Hey, all! I just started looking into rc tanks. I saw the iwaver tanks on tower, and thats when I started looking around for them. The airsoft version is the one I would get. I found them on ebay too. They are sold by ToyEast. [ebay link] They also sell the IR ones. Just thought you guys might like to know that the airsoft version can be gotten in the US. I would love to hear others opinions on the quality of these tanks.

RE: Iwaver tanks?
They sell an airsoft version. Look on ebay, under 'vstanks'. They just arn't avaliable directly here in the US. They arn't a Mouri knockoff, and they are sopposed to be better quality, but you can't really expect much for $100.

RE: Iwaver tanks?
The shipping is outragous. Its $34 to ship that to the US. If you look at the website for the tanks (www.vstank.com The 16th scale ones are the 'pro' version) you will see that they do have three diferent types (and three different colors in each type), the normal airsoft, the super airsoft(or airsoft with sounds and recoil), and the IR versions. How do these tanks compare to the Marui tanks? Are they good quality? Is it hard to control them with that type of control system(the buttons, and not the proportional sticks)? Thanks for the info!

RE: a couple slightly general motor questions
ok, so i need to drop some gears. i was thinking about that rrp pack. once i get a tad bit more money(thats what it alwasy seems to come down too), ill go ahead and buy all of this, along wiht the rest of my tower order. thanks for all the help. it should be nice to see this thing flying down the street, and being reasonably close to my friends ntc3(even though he will still be way ahead of me). Im a better driver than he is, so mabye somewhat close, it will be fun anyway. thanks.

RE: a couple slightly general motor questions
ok, ic. it is a green colored motor, and im not exactaly sure of what it is. the person i bought it from said it was 19 turn. it is not a green machine, the end is different. it almost keeps up with my truck(savage ss). my pack is matched 6 cell 3000 ultra metal cells. they should be able to put out the power. do you think i woudl need to change the pinion gear, if i went from the 19t to the 12t? i looked at the cobalts, but i still think i am going to get the revolution. its just that everything about it has impressed me. thanks for the help! i still dont know about that pinion though.

RE: a couple slightly general motor questions
ok, thanks. ill look at the cobalts. one of my friends is getting a 8 turn revolution, so i guess ill just wait and see how his runs before i buy. how much faster will the car be going from a 19 turn green machine, to a 12 turn revolution? quite a bit? any rough estimate? mabye 10-20 mph faster? thanks!

a couple slightly general motor questions
ok, well i have a yokomo mr-4tc BD, and it has a 19 turn motor in it right now. i have gotten used to driving it, and now i want more speed. i have intellispeed 12 turn esc. i also have a nice pack, so thats not a problem. i have been looking at some 12 turn motors, and i kinda narrowed it down to the Orion Revolution touring 12 turn double. i like the double wind, because i would rather a top end punch. the revolution looks like a really nice motor. i like the end ball. what is the advantage to the 'v' brush set up? any other recomendations for a motor? it needs to be under $70. it would also be nice if it came from tower, but it doesnt need to. i was also wondering about the pinion size. do i need to go up or down teeth with the less turns? how many? im somewhat new to electric, so please help! thanks!!!

RE: need help with gearing on my new car
ok, thanks. so the hotter the motor(the less # of turns) = less teeth? i might get a couple of them and just try them out. it has a 22 tooth pinion on it right now.

need help with gearing on my new car
ok, i just bought a used yokomo mr 4tc, and it came with a 19 turn motor. the esc i have can handle down to 12 turns. i am wondering what pinion i would need to get if i put a 12 turn motor in it. would it be more or less teeth? what about the spur? i looked at the thread at the top, but it didnt help with the different motor. woudl it be better to put a 13 turn, just to be safe? the pack shouldent be a problem, it is a matched 3000 ultra metel pack. thanks!

RE: T-Spec T-spec Hop-ups
i think that trinity had in mind for the t spec to be more than just a spec car. i think they wanted to make a spec car, that could be used out of spec. if you notice, the motor mount for the tc3 fits, the pro4 diffs fit...ect. i dont think that is just a cowicidence, i think trinity ment to do that.

RE: how to wire 12 cells form two 6 cell packs?
well....all i can say is THANKS!! i took the boat down to florida on spring break, and i ran it down there. it ran like a beast! i have some videos i will upload, so you can see it. the prop works great, and it runs awsome. i did some work on the servo mount(extra CA and lexan), and it now holds up really well. i had to take apart my packs, beacuse they got some water in them, and were in need of repair. so thats where i am right now, in the process of putting them back together. man, the thing was a rocket! i cant believe how fast it was. comparing it now, to how it was when i first put it in the water, is amazing to see. the best part about it is it only cost me around $4(for the prop). again, thanks for making me a happy rc boater!! ill get those vids out sometime soon.

RE: how to wire 12 cells form two 6 cell packs?
ok, so i got my conecters, and have made some repairs/maintence. i have some pics of the improvements, it sounds faster, but i dont know, i havent run it yet. tell me what you think, and what else i can improve. i lubed the brive train and the bushings on the motors. i tightened the coupler as tight as i could get it. i added some lexan that i bent, so i keep the batts in twards the front of the boat some. i also moved teh strut up some, so it is almost leval with the sponsons. here are the pics... it is a 3/16 threaded end. so how big of a prop shoudl i get? you said 40-42mm? i want a bronze prop, but i dont know which is the best, bronze or stainless steel? thanks for the help!!
