RE: How to repair wing dowel loose
Elmer's makes a wood glue, you would want to use the wood glue. You can always use epoxy and chopped fiberglass for a stronger repair.

RE: Hobbico Starter
I have one of those hobbico starters. I remember it being weak on a 12v bat (wouldn't turn my OS 91 4 stroke). I put 2 7 cell NIMH car packs on it for 16.8volts and it turns my OS 91 4 stroke very well. When I end up transitioning to larger engines I will probably put a 18 or 24v pack on it.

RE: Help with dual battery system
You can put diodes in the circuit. Put them in between the switch and the receiver, that way you can still recharge the bats, but the diodes will prevent reverse charge from a shorted battery. Unless my understanding of basic electronics is incorrect this should word.

They are specifically not allowed by AMA so you could jepardize your field and club charters, and you'd have no insurance coverage( high potential fire hazard).
ORIGINAL: rhklenke Bingo! Exactly! Even more, some of the "problems" we have here on earth, you could pour *trillions* into and they'd still not be solved! I still go back to my contention that when the funding fathers laid out our system of government, they didn't intend for the ignorant to have as great a voice as the intelligent - hence the Electoral College. If we keep catering to the lowest common denominator, that's where we'll end up, at the lowest common denominator. Certainly everyone has their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, but we have to keep in mind that there are often (not always) God-given, fundamental differences between the students in my engineering classes and the homeless people in the park across the street, and no amount of $'s is going to get some (not all) of those guys to hold a regular job, so instead, spend the $'s on the engineering students... Soap box off... Bob
Isn't this the bases of Fascism, Nazism or elitism? One set of people are more important than another? Sometimes those poeple on the street are their because society is too self centered and greedy to help. I've helped in soup kitchens and in prisons, I've seen how "civilized" America really is (and it really isn't when it comes to those without Power and Money). If Americans bought into a "pay it forward" attitude (rather than greedy grinches) we'd have less homeless and more engineers.
ORIGINAL: Woketman Oversprayer, you are wrong. It is NOT gravity that will eventually cause the ISS orbit decay. It is indeed drag: drag between the ISS and the very tenuous atmosphere at the ISS's altitude. It gradually, over the years, slows the Station and causes its perigee to lower. If unchecked, eventually the perigee would be low enough such that much greater drag forces do indeed cause the ISS to burn up. That was prevented during the Shuttle years not just by OMS burns, but also by the Russian Zayrya (spelling?) module and Soyuz and Progress spacecraft. But it is NOT gravity. Gravity simply opposes centripital acceleration to keep the ISS in orbit. If Earth was an airless body, the ISS would stay in orbit pretty much forever. Falcon, no such manned heavylift vehicle exists, NONE!!!! I wish it did, but wishing don't make it so.... (sigh)
So that would be why the Gravitational force the Earth exherts on the moon doesnt cause it to come crashing down?! Er wait didnt I learn that in High School Physics??? Something about Gravity, rotational vectors, and constanting falling to center of mass in a circular pattern, like a tennis ball in a sling shot, or maybe I slept during that class

Redundant Receivers
Quick questions about setting up redundant receivers for the SD-10G. I read the manual but I am a bit fuzzy yet. Do I bind 2 receivers to the same Model number? What are the mechanics of this, transmit bind code and hit bind button on both receivers at once? Does this work for FHSS-1 and -3? How do the safety link numbers relate to using more than 1 receiver per model? Any lag time between the two? Example if I had 2 aileron servers on the left side, could the outboard be on receiver 1 and the inboard be on receiver 2? Or do I need something like a smart fly system to switch between the receivers? Thanks!! JH

I checked out the microcenter website. They are very limited in choices. Have you looked at Newegg? More choices and the prices should be the same or lower. Also Newegg sells prebuilt systems, and barebones that you can customize.

everything depends on the level of detail you want. I have an amd phenom2 x4, ati 5770 and 8gb of ddr2. I have everything on high including physics. I run 1920x1200 and about 90% of the time it is smooth. RF does NOT work with eyefinity or surround view. DO NOT use best buy or staples, they are sales people with some computer knowledge. Either get an OEM (dell, HP, etc) that have engineers that troubleshooted compatibility already,, or do it yourself.

RE: FHSS1, 2, 3 4, 5 ,6?????
I believe it is a difference in the encoding. Regardless FHSS - 2 is on a few surface TX/RX sets. FHSS - 1 and FHSS - 3 are typically for air use. FHSS - 3 allows for advanced fail safe plus voltage read out of RX on your TX. FHSS - 1 RX will work on SD 5, SD 6, RDS8000 and SD 10. I believe FHSS - 3 works only on SD 10. I had a RDS8000 and really loved it, but I sold it and got a SD 10. I really really love my SD 10. I have a SD 5 for a backup/buddy box, but may replace it with either a SD 6 or another SD 10.

Anyone loose a marriage from RCU? Anyone get fired over RCU? Anyone get their identity stolen from RCU? Anyone get their house robbed from RCU? Ive read news stories about all of these caused by Facebook. Also about infosec.... if someone really really wanted to steal your info they could, but the people/groups that have the skill and equipment go after banks, corps, and governments. Still dont be posting your stuff willy nilly for the script kiddies to find.
