RE: Saito FG57 Fourstroke
The engine is easy to start and it can runs at idle forever and the throttleresponse is excellent. Love this engine but unfortunately a bit price when I had to throw away both ignition and carb on a brand new engine :-( I will make a new video with startup and a flight with my Hurry so all can see that the FG30 works well when converted. I really do not know why Saito use ignition and carbs that is so unreliable. I also had a Saito FG20, same problems. bad throttleresponse, spittering on full throttle and quitted all the time. I sold it as a broken engine at 150$ before it made me so mad that almost threw it in the deep woods... that was before CH Ignition by Adrian saved my day!!

RE: NEW Top Flight P-40??? 1/5 scale
Had a midair during formation flight in Warbirdweekend here in Norway. The tail hit the river but the rest of the plane hit some trees and was luckily found 5cm from the water more or less without damage. Bought a new kit and the fuselage is now ready. Doing some weathering and ready to go. First layer is complete, brown and then it will be a layer with black smoke color on top. Great flying machine with RCGF 55 and a Toni Clark exhaust with nice sound.

Totally agree! Saito have not shown that they can make a gasser that works. Could not be that difficult.

And why the need for gear with Kolm installed. The 135 should haul a 28x14 4-bladed which is pretty close to scale?

A scanned picture of this baffle template would be highly appreciated. If you are able to scan it I can make a vectorized version available so the outer diameter can be adjusted to each installation.

RE: Saito FG-30 gas troubles
Had another tank with break in today. Starts easily and works pretty ok- ,but top end is totally missing. Unreliable and sputtering on all needle settings. The IBEF thing are adjusted to exactly 6V. Changed the plug, adjusted the gap, valve adjusted and still not good even if it does not die. Seems like the engine is not getting enought fuel on the top end. I think the carb is the big problem, wondering if I will modify to a standard Warlboro. Anyone who has done this??? Or other comments?
