RE: Regrettable thing
ORIGINAL: mike31 If you gotta cut a new plane apart to inspect it for possible defects in manufacturing maybe you should not have bought it in the first place. Do you believe when a person buys a plane from Cessna or Piper the plane gets dismanteled for inspections? ie. rip the wing skins off, tear apart the fuse and things like that. If you buy a good quality product of any kind it should not need investigation other than a good looking over for any obvious defects. I do agree even a new plane needs to be inspected but, not to the point of destruction.
Go somewhere else if you can't play with others didn't your mom tell you if you don't have something nice to say do say anything

RE: Painting Question??
ORIGINAL: SDCrashmaster
ORIGINAL: Redline7000 How about using Future floor wax. Won't hurt Krylon paint finishes, but I don't know if it'll stand up to some abuse.
Whoa, does Futurel now make a ''flat'' floor polish? I think your in the wrong threads. He's not building a 1:12 hotrod.
He does not say what is being built so the floor polish may do the trick

RE: JETS OVER KENTUCKY WEEK - 2010 EVENT THREAD
ORIGINAL: Marvinf14
ORIGINAL: rcjets_63
ORIGINAL: Marvinf14 I actually was going to tell Andy i saw that too and i forgot, but guys sorry to tell you its FOD inside the airplane just flying inside of the canopy its just an illusion that looks like its from the outside, more like piece of grass when the canopy perhaps was sitting on the grass waiting for flight [8D]
Your explanation is complete B.S. The unidentified ''image'' is actually a rip in the space-time continuum created when I took the Gripen to full throttle. [:D][:D][:D] Looking forward to the videos Marvin, you da man!!! Jim
LOL, awesome Jim, jejejejejeeeeee [:D]
if you look at about the 830 mark you can see the blade of grass sliding forward

RE: delete
ORIGINAL: joeflyer So you just joined RCU and this is your first post??? What is your modeling experience? It looks like you're trying to be an alarmist and don't have much knowledge of model jets. There is no evidence that the RC jet fire in that video had anything to do with static discharge. It is not as big a concern as on full sized aircraft. There have been some ECU problems blamed on static electricity, but I have never heard of anyone blaming a model fire on static electricity.
I agree, what is your experience with jets?
