RE: hurricane xte impressions
I straightened mine out also and it bent again! I did receive the new ones in the mail from redcat, but I have a feeling it's going to happen again. Let me know what redcat says.

hurricane xte impressions
So I purchased the car on Monday, seemed pretty nice out of the box. The gentleman I bought it from was nice enough to have it charged up and ready to go. I brought it home and took it out in the backyard, maybe 2mins into it the car went straight and hit a small rock and bent the front dogbone. I was surprised how easily it bent since it was a very light hit. We figured out that I had a bad servo and was sent a new one (upgraded) and had it by Wednesday. Took apart the front end, hammered the dogbone straight and decided to take it out again, the car is really fast and almost uncontrollable, but fun to drive. I have to learn how to take a turn without rolling the car! Toward the end of my fun the car just stopped, I took of the body to find out the gear on the motor fell of, no big deal it just wasn't tighten. So I decided enough fun for the night I am going to charge the lipos so I can play again tommorow, to my surprise the charger will not work since it's not the right plug (European). Well redcat is going to send me a new charger and new dogbone, I just have to wait for them to come from the USA, I'm in Canada. I can't say I'm to impressed with the product thus far, the customer is great and I don't know if more people have had these type of problems, if so I feel bad for the distributors. Hopefully once I get the car charged up, buy acouple more batteries and beat on it more I can come back with some more reviews.

RE: Newbie looking for a chager....
Looks good, but the $30 shipping charge, plus customs kills the deal

RE: Newbie looking for a chager....
Okay thanks for the reply, I just have to see who to buy it from. Hobbyking price is good but the shipping is slow, and there is nothing local under $70. Ebay is also all from china, so it's also slow shipping.

Newbie looking for a chager....
So I am very new to this hobby and just bought my first buggy that comes with 2 lipo batteries. THe charger that came with it is really cheap and slow, so I want to buy something that can charge the batteries in less then 2 hours. I went on hobbykigs website and I saw all kinds of chargers, what are peoples thoughts on the Turnigy Accucel-6 50W 6A Balancer/Charger w/ accessories or the IMAX B6 Charger/Discharger 1-6 Cells (GENUINE). They seem to be very well priced, do they work well or should I be looking at something else? Thanks

RE: New redcat cars coming?
Well I guess i'm going to learn the hard way. I pruchased the Hurricane thinking it was better then the caldera since it has alot of upgraded parts, first 5 mins my servo stopped working and I hit a small rock, bent my front dogbone. The redcat dealer was very quick to respond and is sending me out a new servo, so cutomer service is great, I just hope that parts don't start braking like in the video's you posted. We will see what the next couple of months bring. All in all the car looks really nice (for the price) and I was very happy with the gentleman I bought it from, I think I might just upgrade some of the suspension parts and see how the car lasts.

RE: Newbe looking for suggestion, redcat vs. Hsp
Thanks for the input guys, but I already went out and bought the Hurricane, $320 tax in was a preety good deal. Now let me tell you, I figured I would get the hurricane because it is there "pro" version. First time out the servo stopped working and I hit a rock, bent the dog bone! Redcat is sending me a new upgraded servo, the redat support is very good, but I am abit dissapointed. We will see how it goes the next couple of months

I noticed on ebay that the price of some of there cars are really cheap, for example you can get the hurricane xte for $289 free shipping! But the backdraft is still $329? Don't make sense

RE: Backdraft 8e or hurricane xte
Thanks for the reply, my local redcat dealer has the Monsoon XTE for $380 and the Backdraft 8E for $320, I might just get the Monsoon, seems to be the best deal right now.

Backdraft 8e or hurricane xte
there's a $70 difference between the two, so I am assuming that the hurricane is a better buggy, but is it worth the extra $70?

RE: Newbe looking for suggestion, redcat vs. Hsp
I know there cheap, but I'm just going to be playing around in my backyard so I don't want to start spending too much. Edit, I am looking at the redcat monsoon xte or the hurricane xte. Both comments ready to run and have the dual lipo Batteries. So for $399 what else should I be looking at? I welcome your suggestions and input.

Newbe looking for suggestion, redcat vs. Hsp
So I have been looking around and the time has come to get something to play around with. My friend recently bought a redcat (forget the model) but it seems pretty nice and was ready to go. Now that I have been reading up abit I think I want to get a brushless motor and a lipo battery. Now redcat cars come with the dual lipos where as the Hsp come with a signal lipo, so which one should I go with. Any suggestions?
