Sure thing. I have the Little Extra with that setup - the ThunderPower LiPo I use is the ExtremeV2 - a few more bucks, but reliable as gold. The AXI's have been proven to be durable performers. Keep looking and post your results here. Thanks.

RE: Nitromodels PREDATOR RQ-1B
Hello to that Texan called brownlab. Peanut looks good, maybe he'll fly someday. Your Corsair looks like a very nice model. Papa Jeff says, "Hey, we have all gone thru what you are experiencing. The issue is not one of luck, it's just like riding a bike. You try and try and try again, but you keep falling over, so you try those training wheels. Now you get the feeling of riding your bike on two wheels and whey you are ready, off come the training wheels...............and you have learned to ride a two wheeler. See, you never give up.....so how about "Back to basics?" I read where Papa Jeff suggested a Multiplex Easy Star as a good plane to practice with. Here's a web site that should convince you that his advice is right on the money: where they explain why the Easy Star is Winner of the Most Recommended 1st Plane Award 2005-2006 http://plawner.net/3/1st_plane/1welcome.html Multiplex has some of their customers tell their stories about this : http://www.mpx-easystar.de/ A lot of guys talked about it at: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3375575/tm.htm RCGroups has a discussion of more tha 450 pages: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=459096 I've seen it fly at several fields, and I know it flies well, and is a very rugged plane. Hobby-Lobby has a nice review for you to read. http://www.hobby-lobby.com/easystar.htm Here's a video: http://www.hobby-lobby.com/media/MPX4192-EasyStar.wmv Here's some beginners on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_dNh7VHLbk Here's another Youtube video, lot's of them there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4c0K_2nwJUs You say you're 12 and would like to know: WHICH ONE Well. I'm here to tell you that the Easy Star is a good investment for you, and I've seen that you like advantage.com, well look at this: http://www.advantagehobby.com/product.php?productid=23200&cat=181&page=1 You spend the next two years flying, maybe crashing, and maybe fixing, this great Easy Star and I'd bet you could build and fly a Predator even better than Captain Chaos ever did ! RE: Aerosound R/C TBS Soundmodule
It was suprising to hear the engine sounds when it went from idle to off. Well done. The overall performance of the sound coming from the P-51 as it does a fly-by approaches realism, and gives a great scale effect to the model. The audience was listening, and may have been on the light side, but I believe that even if it numbered thousands, it would have been quiet enough to hear the engine sounds. A remark I heard was that if the sound was much louder, it wouldn't be scale. Thanks for the airplane noise at a quiet-flyers fun fly ! and thanks for the information about your installation.

RE: Well I was going to do a build on this.........
Man ! That's a heartbreaker if there ever was one. If not too late, get your credit card manager to not pay the bill because of non-performance. Tell the VQ dealer that the deal was never completed, you are returning it, and you want your money back. If you decide to keep it, you are a superman builder, and have my respect and best wishes for a speedy completion.

RE: Nitromodels PREDATOR RQ-1B
yessir. We're both right, or both wrong, because my conversion math was computerized, and yours was more applicable. I was looking at grams to ounces, because ounces to pound is a given (but not when you consider the UK). You're thinking grams to pounds because we're really after how it works with "watts per pound". So, we're both right, but neither of us knows what the other was saying. The proof is in the flying, and the predator looked great during the several flights at the meeting.

RE: Nitromodels PREDATOR RQ-1B
PapaJeff - what a nice "build thread", and what a nice aircraft to review. I was there when yours first took to the wild blue yonder. When I first saw it, the thought was, "what a great wing - long and slender - all it lacks is feathers ! What I caught on my new video camera wasn't much, but take a look anyway ? http://www.drchristine.com/rccr/videos/070422%20Predator.htm Thanks Papa, from Bubba. p.s. 1100 grams = 35.36412 ounce (troy) Convert is a free and easy to use unit conversion program that will convert the most popular units of distance, temperature, volume, time, speed, mass, power, density, pressure, energy and many others, including the ability to create custom conversions! http://joshmadison.com/software/convert/
