RE: wife or your RC cars
ORIGINAL: quietnas1 My wife hates my Hobbies but when she complains all I say is let's put some of those COACH bags on ebay. And the shoes and all the cloth that still has tags on them lol.
How many Coach bags do they need I just want to add a 3rd RC. She only carries one but we have seven in the damn closet and those bags are not cheap. I guess it is give and take cause when we first got married I bought a $1000. putter but she made me sell it. Sad thing is that same putter sells on Ebay for around $6000. Oh well she makes all the money now so I can't complain.
ORIGINAL: usurp I upgraded from a D70 and the jump was huge. I love it. I got it with the kit lens but I dont use the lens that much. I mostly use my two primes a 50mm 1.8 (used for the shots above) and a 28mm 2.8. The video recording feature has come in handy a few times also. Its a great camera and I shoot regularly at 1000iso with barely any noise visible.
My wife has the D200 and it is amazing! I can't take pics at all if its not set up to point and shoot and she looks at me funny [&o] when I want her to take pictures of my RC cars. She has three or four lenses but I couldn't tell you what they do! Great shots, always enjoy good pictures.

He would sale just the car no ESC or motor for $100.00. He sent some pics of it close up and it is brand new. Said he built it to race but never got to the track so its brand new. He also has an Xray M18 1/18 Mamba 25 brushless with lipo for $100.00. Thanks for the in site on the brand.

Is an Associated TC 4 any good?
My local Craigslist has a used Associated TC4 for sale in like new shape comes with a Novak SS5800 brushless motor system Nissan body is included, it has a JR servo included, aluminum rims for street driving, blue aluminum screw kit and battery hold down. The guys asking $175.00 and I know that it is out dated with TC5 replacing it but was wondering if you can still get parts and would it be a good buy for $150.00. I have electric off road but would add an on road for the right price. I would just run for fun and at the local track.

RE: Best Starter Elec RC Truck for the $ ?
If you want brushless I would look at HPI Firestorm as a starter. Keep in mind if you want to go 35mph to 45mph you need a tranny that can handle that speed and also a slipper clutch. So you can look at vehicles that are not brushless but if you want to go brushless down the road make sure it is brushless ready. Make sure charger is lipo ready too so you don't have to upgrade that later.

I give him good practice to get those sexy action shots [:D]. Thanks guys.
Haha...only a thief if I sell the pic for profit :) I know you were jokin but if ya do decide you dont want your pics copied or used for profit without permission, best your bro use a watermark signature on the photo. this will be a copyright for your pics just in case these pics become best sellers :)
My wife uses a Nikon D200 and that brand is pretty good. Any pics you post on the computer he should put a watermark on it. You would be surprised how many pictures taken by pro or amateurs end up some where else with out permission. Also great pics.

RE: custom chassis in the making!
You said you used a cutting board for a kitchen? I would like to know if it warps because some of the cutting boards warp after time and how it handles heat from motor or sun? How much heavier did it make it? It looks really good. Hope to see some pics.

That area is wide open and no gated community to deal with mostly horse farm country. Also I remember a spot where a bunch of RC boat guys meet at in West Palm.
ORIGINAL: Chris_RC
ORIGINAL: SLAYERDUDE I think I've heard of using fingernail polish instead...? Anyone confirm? RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.
ORIGINAL: r0bh3 More LiPo fun today, truck was dialed in a running strong.  Then I pushed it a bit too much, took a jump going pretty fast, landed on the rear wheels after about 20 ft flight and SNAP rear chassis plate broke right in half.  I'll have to include it now with my other broken parts going back to DTX.  Could be out of commission for a few weeks as I have no spare and will have to wait for parts this time. The Tactic 2.4ghz was working nicely though, not one glitch after about 40 minutes of driving and more than enough range to satisfy my needs.  The steering rate adjustment is a nice little option too, used it a few times.  I'd recommend it, especially if you can get one for $60-70.
r0bh3 good to here you like the Tactic 2.4ghz I plan on picking that same radio up soon. You can't beat the price and I hear good things about that set up.
ORIGINAL: cheech4 so i made a decision on what to get, i decided in getting the HPI E Firestorm from tower and the reason for it was simple, the truck is an awesome basher and handles great and the easy pay option was the icing on the cake.
Good choose. A proven platform and can handle brushless with no problem. I'm looking at their short course truck the Blitz.

I'm not sure. If you look on RPM web site they have a wheel that looks just like the one on Tower but it is for Losi brand, any Losi 2.2 wheel should work with a Evader I'm just not sure about Associated wheel.

Hey Tim still having 960 charger problems
Hey Tim? Charged my EnerG 4600 seven cell side by side pack with setting 4amps and 40 mV. The charger false peaked, it finished with 9.78V it only charged for 21.4min and only put 1430m back into the battery. Something is not right!

RE: How to Backflip a Brushless truggy
Foamy it is amazing how much power your 1/8th has compared to the nitro, it looked like a switch you can just turn it on when you want. If I ever get into 1/8th it will deferentially be brushless.

RE: Going to go Lipo?
ORIGINAL: Willystylz If you're daring I'd say go for the Thunder........it seems to have comparable features but for a fraction of the price of the others. I can personally vouch for the Hyperion charger, it's a quality unit and is totally silent. No fans blasting away[:D] It works great on all my nimhs and 2S lipos. It also has a built in balancer, not sure if the Venom or Thunder have that?
All three have built in balancers and I know Hyperion is good quality and Maxamps provide good customer support on that model. Only thing that holds me back on the Thunder AC6 charger is customer support if you have problems with it who can help. Thunder AC6 charger was list on hobbypartz.com and I have no idea if that web site company is any good. I would only be out about $65.00 but it's still $65.00. I'm trying to cut corners cause also shopping for 2.4ghz radio plus wanting to add HPI short course truck that is coming out in Oct.

Going to go Lipo?
Plan on taking the next step and going lipo but having problems picking a charger. These are the one I'm looking at. I just can't tell if one is better than the other, they all seem to do the same thing and are all at 50watt charge rate. Only thing different is price. Thunder AC6 5 in 1 charger ac/dc $55.00 Venom ac/dc Pro charger $139.99 Hyperion EOS0606I ac/dc charger $149.99 I'm liking the cheaper one but is it still good quality?

RE: Having 960 charging problems?
No these packs have at least 25 cycles on the them some even more. I have tried a charge rate of one and up to three. This charger worked fine before, I have had this one for a couple of months now. It just started to act up the last couple of charges. I tested to see if I had a dead cell in the first pack it happen to but it has done it to all of them and I have a total of four packs. Thanks.

Having 960 charging problems?
I'm getting false peaks on all my packs. Charging EnerG 4600 seven cell and 4200 six cell packs. The seven cell pack are set to 35mV but it will only take a half charge before it shuts off. The six cell is set at 30mV and does the same thing. I have increased the milli volts setting by 5 but it still only charging half way. If I want to get a complete charge then I have to start it over again and watch the temps. Any help would be great. Thanks.
