RE: NAME THIS CAR!!!
ORIGINAL: ThunderbirdJunkie
ORIGINAL: rustler08 why not? and im pretty sure its a b2 with a tranny that uses a chain as an upgrade.
it's not a B2. go look at a B2. it looks NOTHING like a B2. a B2 is nearly indistinguishable from a B3, so why don't you call it a B3? i'll post a pic of MY B2 tonight if you don't believe it.
Exactly - Look at the front shock tower - it's not a buggy tower. It's an RC10T front tower. The 10T was closely based on the buggy, but it was slightly different on the shock towers and suspension arms.

RE: NAME THIS CAR!!!
It's an AE truck - the suspension arm mounts are AE, those are rpm a-arms (look like the ones for the gold tub), which is why my guess is that it's an rc10t. The rear bulkhead, shock towers, tranny brace, motor plate are all old rc10 parts.

RE: NAME THIS CAR!!!
Maybe an RC10T... Has the truck front shock tower. That tranny is an aftermarket direct drive version that was used for on-road or oval applications. That tranny alone is worth a lot more than $50 now. Is the chassis aluminum or some sort of composite material?

RE: I need expert opinion on gearing a 8 turn motor
With an 8T motor you'll be cutting the comm all the time. You might consider a little bit less finicky motor and gear it accordingly. It's next to impossible to guess what the right ratio would be without some trial and error -- has a lot to do with the size of your tires, traction of your tires, weight of the car, etc. Get a set of pinions in a wide range of sizes and see what works best for you. The right combo can change from one run to the next depending on temperature, humidity, etc.

RE: ok, whaddaya want?
All of them! [;)] A couple of other ideas: * mounting/gluing tires * basic body painting I'd have to agree that setup sheets would be impossible, and timing is just an art that you have to learn by trial and error. Shocks are probably the biggest, but there tends to be some difference between brands that you'd have to cover.

RE: Pan car pics
For foams, you'll need traction compound - green or blue foams will hold up best on pavement. You can also get capped radials and not have to worry about compound and they last much longer on pavement. BSR sells both mounted and trued: http://www.bsr-racing.com/

RE: Brushless System Top Speed In Losi XXX-S
Since when does 35mph warrant "that's it????" [X(][X(][X(] There's nothing in the $180 price range that will get you faster. Read: "Entry level" [;)] If the rest of your car is bone stock, it's not ready to go any faster anyway - I'm not sure what speeds you plan to attain, but if you're looking at 50-60mph or more, you've got a few thousand dollars, a lot of tinkering, and a lot of learning ahead of you.

RE: BOOM BOOM BATTERYS
This is usually a friendly forum... still is - hopefully you're not taking this personally, but as constructive criticism. If you plan to make a major dent in the battery business, you need to offer something that people can't already get. $30 unmatched GP3300 sport packs are already available from many retailers. Now if you could match them, even at 1.16 or whatever, display charge/discharge rates, etc., at the same price, then you're onto something. Your current idea will lead you to trouble - if you think the guys on this forum are being rough on you, wait until someone who just bought a bunch of batteries from you realizes that they aren't matched and the aren't truly 1.18+ cells. That's when you get a letter from an attorney for misleading advertising and sell your house to help your former customer prove a point. We're just trying to save you some grief - that's all.

RE: Losi Wheels and Tires, Bearings
I'd have to agree - a small screwdriver, hex key, whatever's handy will get the bearings out. Just be gentle and it all works out fine. If you only have one set, definitely get some spares. You can swap bearings between wheels, but you should still have a spare set or two.

RE: fm radio
Any digital radio will make a huge difference for you. FM will make a difference if you run a low turn mod motor or brushless system. In the $100-150 price range, the one you selected would be perfect. Worth every penny!
