RE: No brakes on my E-Firestorm??
I emailed HPI and all they could tell me to do was send the ESC in, they were no help as far as diagnosing if it was good or bad. Not sure what to do with it.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Can someone here tell me, when your in forward and you hit reverse, should the tires lock up? Or does it take a while to slow down then stop? My e-firestorm doesn't lock up the tires when i go from forward to reverse, but if i'm in reverse and hit forward it instantly jumps forward. Any idea's of this is normal? Thanks.

RE: ESC not working???
The ESC says forward reverse right on it. I checked out the Duratrax website and did what they told me. I'll try reversing the wires and see if that works.

ESC not working???
Hey guys, my nephew picked up a Tamiya TL-01, it has a Duratrax Autosport Intellispeed forward / reverse ESC. It doesn't seem be getting any power. I hook up the battery and turn it all on, im able to use the steering servo, but the ESC doesn't light up. Any idea's? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
ORIGINAL: green_overcomer Thank you. I've ran my Firestorm over sand, rocks, and pavement and done some mini jumps over curbs and doing those have left me satisfied with what my kit has done so far. [;)]
Nice man, I had the pleasure of doing some 3 ft jumps off some snow banks at the end of my house that turned to ice. Couple of jumps off the 5 steps in front of my house, smoked 2 curbs and had it on its lid once. Still going as new. Throughly impressed with the truck, can't wait for the weather to get better.

RE: No brakes on my E-Firestorm??
Unfortunately thats not the case. If i'm in forward motion to stop I put it in reverse. This doesn't lock the tires, like I was saying it slowly rolls to a stop. There is no real braking happeneing. If i'm at full speed and I hit the trigger on the radio to reverse to stop it will roll about 5 feet before anything happens. So now I got 2 different opinions. Not sure if the truck is running right or not.

No brakes on my E-Firestorm??
OK so it seems I have no brakes on my E-Firestorm. I tried reseting the ESC as one of the members instructed me, but no luck. I do however notice that when its in drive and i hit reverse it rolls to a stop. when I hit reverse and then hit forward it instantly jumps from reverse to forward. Is this normal?? Or is something wrong?? Someone please help me.

RE: Steering seems real slow
Don't get me wrong, the truck turns, maybe my issue is the large turning radius it requires to turn the truck. Is that common for a stadium truck??

Got new batteries, Now I need to upgrade my charger
Hey guys, I just purchased new batteries for my HPI E-Firestorm. I got Peak Racing Power Max Pro 3300mAh Ni-MH batteries. I was wondering what type of charger I will need. I thought my old charger would do it, but its only rated for 1700mAh. Can anyone suggest a something decent thats not too too expensive. Thanks.

Steering seems real slow
Hey guys, I just got my new E-Firestorm out for a quick spin. I noticed that the turning radius was horrible on the truck. I needed alot of room to turn the truck around. This being my first stadium truck I haven't a clue if this is normal or not. Is there a way to correct this? I also wanted to know what the quickest way to stop the damn thing is?? (Without hitting the curb) I'm use to having Nitro cars and trucks which have brakes. I hit the throttle all the way back, but its just rolls to a stop. Is there any way of getting a real brake on this thing? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

RE: E-Firestorm or Stampede XL-5?
I bought myself a E-Firestorm last week, and although I haven't been out bashing yet, I was impressed with the truck and the price. Being its HPI I was quite confindent with the quality, also the E-Firestorm is brushless ready makes for an easier decision. I'd definately go with the E-Firestorm, you won't be disappointed. Looking for a stadium truck, need HELP!!
Hey guys, I'm new to the forums here and need some help. I've previouly owned an HPI RS4 Nitro, HPI Mini-electric, Traxxas Sportmaxx, Traxxas T-MAXX, Ofna LD3, Tamiya TT-01, Tamiya TL-01, Himoto .18 2spd road car. Although I've owned so many cars i have really no knowledge of the hobby. Of the all the vehicles i've had the most reliable has been the Sportmaxx. Most of the cars i've owned I used for a bit and traded it in or got to frustraded and traded it in or sold it. Either way I know its because of my lack of knowledge and probubly patience. Anyhow I want to pick up an electric stadium truck and was looking at the Traxxas Ruslter with 12T motor and ESC able to do 35MPH,the Duratrax Evader ST pro, Losi XXX-T or Team Associated RC10T4. What I want to know is what is going to be the easiest to use and upgrade? Is it advisable to get a RTR or should I get a rolling chasis kit and buy my own Radio and ESC? What are common problems with these trucks, and or handicaps? I'd appreciate any help you guys can give me. Even of you have any other suggestions for a stadium truck i'd appreciate that. I don't think i'll be hitting any tracks as I don't know of any in my area, but speed and durabilty would go a long way for me. Thanks!!
