RE: Answer please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Turqui Be careful with the heat gun. Don't hold it too close , or for too long in one spot or you'll melt the covering. Monokote melts easier than Ultracote if that is what you have, so go slow and work your way up to how close you hold the heat gun from the surfaces. Jim

RE: Top Flight T-34 Engine Choice
Brian I've been flying the TF T-34 for years. I think the OS 95 might be too much for your scale type of flying. All mine (4) were fitted with a YS-63 and I had plenty of power from zoom to scale flight. I never added any weight to balance the cg, just moved my batteries back and it was bang on. I have two OS 91 FS engines and really like them for their sound and power output , but imo they would be too big and over powered for this airframe. Just my opinion, yours may vary. Great little airplane tho, your going to have a lot of fun with it. Jim

RE: Novice in Need
I'll be short and to the point. All three stiles of powered RC flying (gas, glow, electric) have similar but still different safety concerns from each other. Before you decide on which turns you on more ,research the safety, and storage issues to start. A friend of mine (experienced flyer of ten years) was charging up his lipo batteries, and walked in the house to get another cup of coffee. When he came back out ..... his garage was on fire. RC flying is a blast, your going to make a lot of new friends and want to spend all the time you can with them. But get in the habit of thinking "what if" , what if I do this, or what will happen if I do that. More people have been injured in this sport because they had a "brain fart", or decided that they'll never get dinged, or that safty just dosen't apply to them. Take a number and wait your turn on that one. In the mean time slow down, make a sound decision on how you need to proceed (get help with that) with your training, selection, maintenance, storage, and flying. You do the things, and follow the sound advice your peers here have been giving you and you won't believe how much fun your going to have . Stay safe, and enjoy the flying. It's just going to get better. Jim

RE: Painting a prop
I might be going overboard with how I do it , but I have props that are four years old and look as good as the day I painted them. What I do with my props ( I run APC ) is lightly sand to get some bite for the paint , then paint the whole prop with Top Flight Luster cote flat black and let that dry over night , next I mask off the prop except the tip , and this I paint Luster Cote flat white. After the white dries remove the masking and spray a couple light coats of Top Flight simi gloss clear to seal the paint. Balance using the clear and your done. Props not only look good , but I can see the ends of those flying Ginsu knives flying around after I start the engine. Haven't had to retouch up the paint on one yet except for prop strikes.
