RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR
I did that but it still wouldn't run well.

RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR
How does your engine run? I haven't started my Tower Terror in over a year, but I always had a lot if trouble starting the engine and keeping it running.

RE: **OFFICIAL** MTR-3 or 2S 1/10 truggy
I ran my MTR-3 for the first time in months today, and I had a great time even though it's freezing outside. We got the ramp out and had some good jumps and tumbles, but had to stop when a screw came loose and was lost. This screw has a silver bushing that goes around it, and it attaches the c-hub ([link]http://server.sohouniverse.net/~himotora/shopping/pgm-more_information.php?id=1513&=SID#MOREINFO[/link]) to the steering arm ([link]http://server.sohouniverse.net/~himotora/shopping/pgm-more_information.php?id=63&=SID#MOREINFO[/link]). I looked the manual, but I can't find the part because it isn't in the picture. Does anyone know the part numbers for the screw and the bushing?

RE: Who ran what 9/27/09
Yeah, but I prefer the handling of 4 wheel drive to the speed of 2 wheel drive. Although 2wd trucks are a lot of fun to drift around corners! I'm also gonna call Tower Hobbies tomorrow and see if I can get them to send me a new engine for my Tower Terror under warranty. [8D]

RE: Who ran what 9/27/09
Today I drove my MTR-3 with my friend and his brother who both have Rustlers. We had a great time and even though we cartwheeled the trucks WAY too many times to count they seemed to always land lid-up and keep on going. The only thing that broke was one of the shocks on one of the Rustlers that dumped all it's oil when the cap came unscrewed. I raced my MTR-3 against one of the Rustlers and even though it was much faster of the line I won because he flipped. [:)] I think the reason the Rustlers were faster though was because both of them were running too lean. My friend burned through two glow plugs in less then a minute and the coils were completely gone and the glow plugs were black! Oh yeah, the exhaust manifold gasket on my MTR-3 broke again, so I guess I'll have to cut out another one. It was great!

RE: Everyone stopped running?
I've been really busy with school and band so I haven't been able to do anything. But today I'm gonna race my friend's Rustler with my MTR-3!

RE: Video's of your himoto's
The video of the MTR-3 reminds me of mine. They're almost impossible to flip off of jumps! It always seems like no matter how badly you hit the ramp they always end up wheels down.

RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR
I sealed up the engine a while back and it still won't run. I might just send it in and get a new one under warranty.

RE: Who ran what? 8/17/09
Good to know. Edit: I called Tower Hobbies and they just told me to check what I've already checked and that I would probably have to send then engine in. I don't really want to do this because I know they'll just send me another bad engine. So which engine do you guys think is better, the Axial .28 or the SH .28?

RE: Who ran what? 8/17/09
Great to hear that it worked for you! I doubt they'll replace the engine with one that almost costs as much as the entire truck! [:)] I'm hoping to get and Axial .28 since I've heard good things about them from a lot of people. [8D]

RE: Who ran what? 8/17/09
I changed the plug in the Terror, blew through the pressure line to clear any clogs in the fuel lines, and I know that my glow plug charger and fuel are good because they work fine with my MTR-3. I think the problem is the engine. It's been horrible from the beginning, and almost everyone I know who has a Tower Terror has problems with it. Maybe I'll call Tower Hobbies tomorrow and see if they can replace it under warranty with a [b]different[/b] engine... [;)]

RE: Who ran what? 8/17/09
Over the weekend I tried to start my Tower Terror a couple of times but it would never run for more then a second and then it would cut out. [:(] But my MTR-3 started on the first few pulls and I ran a few tanks through it and did a lot of jumping. It has to be the most stable truck I've ever driven, it seems like it corrects itself in midair! Eddie, if you need to get a video off a DVD and change it to a format you need HandBrake is the best way to go in my opinion. [link]http://handbrake.fr[/link]

RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR
My glow plug igniter is charged, I've checked the glowplug, which is new, and it looks good. I've set the mid range needle to be flush and I use a fuel called "Ritch's Brew" that's made locally and works great in all my other cars.

RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR
Well I tried to start it again today and ended up with blisters on my fingers for the effort. I blew through the pressure line to get any clogs out of the fuel lines, and I charged the glow plug igniter and put in a new glow plug, but I would only run for a second or two at the most, and then it would cut off. All the needles are at the factory settings and I tried increasing the idle speed but that didn't help. Any ideas on what's wrong?

RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR
I completely forgot about that! One time it wouldn't start and I had to blow through the pressure line to get a piece of jelled fuel out. If it doesn't rain today I'll try that. [8D]

RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR
I tried to start my Tower Terror for the first time in months and it just wouldn't start at all. It would rev up for half a second and then it would just die. Considering all the engine problems I've had with this truck, I'm considering just selling it. [:'(]
