ORIGINAL: alexhunter
ORIGINAL: Blitz813 So... I'm no longer impressed with the HR cups. After a few short runs, say 15 minutes, the cups on the back side of tranny sheared right in half. The stock ones didn't even do that after like 20 runs, which included some 3s action. The HR cups never even seen 3s.
My HR cup just broke in half when I put the set screw in.  Tightened the screw, heard a snap, and sure enough, clean break just like your picture.
hot racing is another company like integy products arent that good :( support is bad

RE: I dont know what else to do anymore
The GST/Genesis engine run hot. I had the same issue and I was concerned when my temps were 270-300 degrees F. Try to seal the carb. Remove the carb and use automotive silicone to seal it to the case. Also remove the needles and use some Green Slime around the o-rings and/or teflon plumbers tape around the needle's threads. Check the exhaust port gasket. If it is shot, replace it. The NX-7.7 and NX-7.6 have a lot of compression. After you get a gallon or two through it hopefully the temps will drop some. I would richen the HSN to keep temps in the 250-260 degree range. Once the engine has lost a litle bit of the pinch the temps should drop and you can lean the engine out more to get more performance.
the temps do climb up that high like i stated but they keep on climbing they dont stay at 300 they keep on climbing and the the truck looses lots but lots of power it will run really slow, [&o] that cen guy hasnt chipped in i tought that their sopport was great ill give them a call tomorrow morning ill see what they can do. arc

I dont know what else to do anymore
Hey guys as many of you know i bought a GST back in april thats when i started posting here i was really impressed with the GST 7.7 but ever since i bought it i have had overheating problems i probably have ran it about 7 times ever since i broke it in . I bought it on april from towerhobbies but i really cant run it without having the temps skyrocket to 280 290 310 they keep on climbing high the more it let it idle, [&o] i have done everything that i can possibly think off i have changed the fluel lines, checked for loose screws went back to factory settings, tried to tune like i do with the rest of my trucks and nothing i even just ordered a new head button thinking that maybe that was the issue it seems like the leak might be around the head area because it has turned really brown i will post pics later today[:o] i have tightened down all of the screws and still the temps get high i really dont know what to do it would be good if cen the guy that posts here chips in and helps me out, it over heats and spits fuel from the pipe as if it was rich [:(]. i really dont know what temps do you guys run your engines but i would like to know if its normal but i doub it my other engines are running perfectly at 230, 240, and produce great power but i know that anything over 270 is not safe thats why i havent ran it because im afraid that i might cause more damage if there is any. thanks, arc[&o]

RE: GST 3rd gear clutch mod
oh, man i really have lots of things to do my gst is not even shifting nada, zero,0 lol i have to buy some supplies and make this mod thanks, sparky and poo but on the other hand, dogman if you said that gst's are rarely heard shifting into second but they clearly shift into third how come sparkies video i hear both shifts? can it be that its shifting into second but not third and you think that its third and yes i know that the second shifted early on that video. Also does any body know the default settings for the 2 speed shifting point? im planning on stoping spending more time with my other trucks and familiarising my self more with my gst. just my .02 arc PS have you guys tryed grubscrews?? 5mm by 8mm or less i have some im going to check with those but first i have to order my teflon sheet.

RE: Fake Cen
thats junk doesnt even come close to looking like a cen gst the problem is that they are from china ect, that side of the world, they dont have losi, Cen, traxxas, HPI, like we do here in the U.S. well at least this part of the world so they stick to what they have, but occasionally they try to expand their products to the world, and we look at them and compare them to what we have and they look like crap [:D]. arc
