RE: ballistictechnology Corona CP kit
well, here is some picture of CP setup with new Freestyle 3D airframe. frankly, this is a beast at 2500rpm head speed. total 3d machine. takes full concentration to fly. at 2100rpm, it tames down nicely, but still very capable. I actually have video on rcg with short lmh blade. flys well even with short lmh blade. total setup is orbit 15-18 on 4S4400 with jazz40-6-18 and 500t gyro with 9253. frame is cut for 9253/54. perfect fit. high center of gravity makes for hot rod.

I will be receiving a preproduction kit for beta testing. there is also a preorder discount on matt's website to end on christmas day. (www.ballistictechnology.com) it is fully 3D capable. :) and looks and flies great. i will report when I get it and built.

RE: Help me with component choices for Corona
wait till new BT's CP upgrade for corona. you will be able to run stock style blade upto 420mm with stretch kit or corona blade if you care to. 2-3month eta. no, it is not choppa style upgrade, but rather totally new CP head. (kinda mix of new and older ideas) :)

RE: corona blades
due to design of the blade, woodies are hard to make and CF mold cost too much. (I've seen some from europe at one time though)

RE: corona blades
there is only one blade size(but in different colors) available for LMH120 corona. you could run 110/116/117 type blade if you have light weight setup. (they are 10" vs 13" for corona)

RE: crash
tail hunting is probably due to flex in the push rod . get some CF pushrod and that will help. I use 500T with belt drive, and I had to turn the gain down to 40% (70 on the radio) until I mounted the servo right at the tail. (using hs56 and custom tail rotor system) now I am back to 60% (80 on the radio) works good though as far as vibration is concerned, main hub could also be deformed. (actually, it is not perfect out of the factory and will cause spoolup vibration) loosen the screw that hold the grip to the feather a bit. if it is too tight, it will make spool up vibration worse...

RE: Corona 120?
you can improve it alright, by getting nice upgrade for it. :) 16/15/3 is 3000kv motor best used with 8 cell. it works fine with 3S pack. you can use 16/15/4, but be prepared to run 12 tooth pinion....

RE: Quick Charge Question about Lipos
triton can only go to 2.5amp, and if you want to make your pack last longer, I would charge them at lower current. charge them separately. it is safer.

RE: Subrotor Pivot Rod
you can probably make one, if it is the wire that goes through the flybar. just find the right music wire and cut to length...

RE: Corona ?
most motor have current rating, but it is not obvious from their name. mostly, brushless motors are rated by their size. for brushless. 280 size (about 50gm. hacker 20, mega 16/7, himaxx 2025, etc) these are 150-200 watt motor 400 class ( under 100gm. mega 16/15, etc. 200-250watt class) 480 class (100-150gm hacker c40S, mega 16/25, multiplex. 250-300watt) 500 class (150-200 typically under 400 watt) 600 class (2-300gm typically 4-800 watt)

RE: Corona ?
mega motor are rated in three separate numbers. 16/15/3 is common motor being used in corona. it ha 16mm diameter by 15mm long stator with 3 wire wind. 22/20/3 is 22x20 stator with 3 wire wind, etc. hackeras use different nomenclature. they use b or c (c stand for cooling or heatsink version ) 20/40/50 stand for size and L or S is short or long can, and last number is wind..

RE: Corona ?
LMH corona( LMH120 corona is actually the model name of their electric heli) is an excellent FP electric that can handle a bit of payload. mega 16/15/3, 16/20/2, hacker C40T12 or 14 or any similiar motor have been used to good result... 35amp or larger ESC.

another option is this. LMH sells 5dot blade instead of 2dot blade. set of those will give you extra 3 degrees. you can get them from shopatron... as well as the 6dot grips...
