RE: Jaccio regulator weights?
I'm new at 6v receiver packs and would like to know what type of connectors to use between the perfect switch and a 2s LiPo pack. I'm asking because the pack wires are considerably heavier gauge wire than the perfect switch wire. My power systems, watts up and charger are setup for 4mm connectors. Therefore the most convenient would be to use 4mm bullets between the pack and switch/regulator. Is there a better way?

RE: Builder question: How do you route compressed air?
ORIGINAL: dhal22 compressors should not be operated on a extension cord. they will burn up. i'm in construction, i know.
You construction guys use your compressors everyday. I haven't had mine burn up in over 10 years of using a 25' extension chord once or twice a year. To each his own. Maybe some 4500 pound milspec standard piping would work too; or better yet run it on 220volts. Point being, this is occasional use. My Flame suit is on construction guru!

I had the same problem. Bought a heavy duty (electric) extension cord and run it from my 25amp garage socket to wherever I'm using the compressor.

RE: Hitec mini Hs-5085 mg for elevator
Bill, I already own 5245MG's do you think they would be ok for ailerons on a E powered Insight and what would you recommend for Rudder and elevator from the Hi-Tec line? I'm a beginning Sportsman pilot with only reasonable greenbacks to spend.

RE: few questions about an electric pattern
Thanks Joen, sorry not needed. I have a couple 5245's I was planning on using for ailerons on my winter 2M (electric) project. I didn't think they where strong enough for the elevator. But, I'm very new to "E" and am having a hard time understanding the less demanding environment of "E". Have you reprogrammed yours?

RE: Discharging Lipos and other questions??
ideally about 2000 watts, 50 amps for under $50. I have a cellpro 10s, great machine that does not discharge to storage level. The scenario goes: fly saturday, expect to fly sunday, bad weather. Truerc recommends storage level charge for any thing over 7 days. During spring and fall this becomes an issue. I really don't want to spin a 22" prop in my workshop...

Can anybody recommend a good discharger for large lipo packs. Something that wouldn't take hours to discharge fully charged packs to storage voltage.

Fiberglassing Pink/Blue Foam
Just wondering what people think of building a cartop carrier - for airplanes - out of Pink/Blue foam. Fiberglassing then painting it. The reason for using foam is its light and easy to work with. The fiberglassing would be to make it water proof. Could also double as a beer cooler on camping trips.

Somewhere I have a hand embroidered "Al's Hobby Shop" shirt with every patch available in 73-74 sewn to it. Proline, GoPoP, OPS ... If I weren't old and a thousand pounds overweight I'd wear it fying. I remember wearing those shirts on Saturday's. Shirts we didn't mind wearing, but, hated wearing those hideious red vest at christmas time. Yuck!
