Blue Angels
Saw the BA yesterday and it was awesome. They also had a F-22 demo and that was also crazy. With my ears plugged it was as loud as the F-16s we usually have fly by.

I never fly if the heat is over 145[;)] We also have some wild fires in SD but they are far from me. But we still are under a watch for it

Parkzone UM Cub review
I am studying to get my journalism degree so I can review airplanes for magazines. I just got this plane and I wanted to write a review to see what you guys think. Here it is Parkzone Ultra Micro J-3 Cub Review If you were to ask most model aircraft pilots what they think are the most popular aircraft they might say the mustang, the ugly stick, the extra, and the J-3 cub. Before I got the J-3 from Parkzone I thought that Cubs where just as interesting as walking to North Dakota, to buy some bottled water. I thought that aerobatic planes and war birds where cooler. Then I started looking for a plane that would be easy to fly and would be relaxing. I then saw this airplane and I thought why not buy it. So I got the bind and fly model to save $40. I had heard that the prop shaft was too fragile. I decided to buy it anyway. I later learned the hard way that they were right. I learned that if you tighten the prop onto it enough that the shaft will not break as easily. Flying it: This is a 3 channel plane so it can’t do any rolls but after I replaced the prop shaft I was able to hover it for a few seconds. I also learned that this thing loves to float on landings. I mean you almost have to use down elevator in order not to over shoot the runway. The turning circle is small enough that you could fly it in a gym if you wanted. Wind is a problem though. I was able to fly it in winds in-between 6-11 mph. It was difficult but flyable but I live in the second windiest city in the USA so I can only fly it in the mornings once a week. Should you buy it: Well if you are a huge cub fanatic or if you are looking for a plane to fly close to home go ahead. But if you hate cubs or if you want a gasser the short answer is no don’t buy it. Conclusion: The Parkzone J-3 is a good plane. It might be a good beginner’s plane but the Hobby Zone Champ is also a good airplane. In my opinion I think that the Cub looks nicer. The only reason I would recommend the champ (I have not flown one) is because they discontinued the Cub. I just wasted about 5-10 minutes of your life reading this review. However this plane made me realize that cubs are great planes. Watch the prop shaft on this one though.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOO getting Real Flight
I just was on the RF demo and like 30 seconds into the flight I lost a wing. I was then able to regain control and fly for like 15 minutes at an altitude of like 4000 feet. I only stopped because I ran out of fuel. I doubt that I could do this in real life but I had sooooooo much fun.

The only problem I have with foamies is that when you hit something yes you can tape it back together but you are left with these ripples in the foam. I think that fomies are awesome and I love them but I would not buy a big one.

RE: What Makes a Good Beginner Plane???-See Here (&download PDF in Post#1)
Foam airplanes are good for park fliers. Balsa planes are also good for park fliers. But a foam airplane should not be made in a larger than park flier size. It would look like it snowed when the plane crashed.

Am I the only one that noticed this
In the MAN buyer's guide on page 86 there is a helicopter in the airplane section. Also on page 110 there is an airplane in the heli section.

RE: Where to live?
ORIGINAL: tommygun32 Not stressed Bobby, we just really feel like a change in our lives. 20 years away from home, I realize things have changed and it's not the US I left 20 years ago. I mean, think about it, where I live, people pull in front of a corner shop, honk their horn and someone comes running out with whatever you're looking for. People take their maid to the Friday (Sunday in the States) Brunch to watch the kids while they go and gorge themselves. There's even a hotel's restaraunt that has special 'kids & maids' menus. Maids take the kids to the park while parents sleep in the day. It is so damn hot here most of the year, grass doesn't grow unless it's totally over-watered and we all have to live inside in the air conditioning. My kids don't know what it's like to mowe the lawn, trim the hedges, rake the leaves, have a paper route, wash and wax the car, etc for their allowance. Hell, when I was 11 years old living in Coronado, SD, we had 4 lemon trees growing in the back yard. They'd fall off the tree and rot on the ground. So I decided, on my own, to make lemonade and sell it at my stand in my front yard. My location was good, main street Orange Avenue, close to Star Park and literally right next door to the Crown Hotel/Motel. I also had a shoe shine box and I could spit polish a shoe to an almost mirror finsh. I bought the supplies with saved up money from allowance. Lots of people walking from the hotels to the base wanting their shoes shined and a cold glass of good lemonade who appreciated this young man doing the right thing. I made good money which let me buy my models, rockets, u-control planes, buy ice cream at the local Baskin Robins, go to movies and get stuff I liked from the 'Five & Dime' next to the movie theatre. I realize it's probably not like that anymore in some locations, but I do know there are still places in the world that you can do these things. I just want my kids to learn this. To get an understanding of the value of money and earning it through their own work and intuition...that they've developed on their own. I fear that if they grow up here, they will miss out on this. Hence, I really do appreciate all the ideas and suggestions posted in this thread. Thanks again gents. [;)]
If this comes across as political i apologize ahead of time. Ok SD is having the biggest bomb ever so getting a job will be easy. There is no state income tax, the waiting room times in the ER is like 20 mins. Just stay away from Stergis and Watertown

i downloaded the demo there are 3 helis. The background looks like a photograph. There is also a window that pops up every 5 mins saying that this is a demo and it stays up for like 30 seconds until you can close it. clp.eng- right now I am flying a blade mcx2. I am looking for something more challenging. I stumbled upon this yesterday.
