RE: jr500ummm?!?!?! weird i dont understand this?!?!?!?! help
Seems to me if the Gyro works fine with the newer battery, then it's the battery. Try getting another 2100 or 2200 MAH battery. What size heli are you flying ?

RE: T-rex newbie
Hey Bro Welcome to the club everyone is going to have an opinoin, so here's mine. [:D] I started last year with a 450 SA also. I have the HiTech 5000 gyro on it. I found it easy to set up. Alot easier then the JR Gyro's, So I can help you out. Any question e-mail me @ augerin2@aol.com also try HeliFreak.com Finnless has a great set up video for the HeTech 5000G. I love mine in the year I've progressed from very basic hovering to FF flight loops rolls flips and fast backward flight, even a couple of upright funnels. the tail holds great! rock solid. I say give it a try Good luck Jim R

RE: good motor/esc for trex 450
I run a scorpian motor in mine with the stock align ESC. I get good flight times about 6- 8 mins doing about the same flying style as you. I gave up on the align 430X & XL motors. They did not like crashing much at all. I went through 3 of each befor switching. No problems at all with the Scorpian. & much better power. Using stock pinion 11 tooth I believe. If your really interested in my set up I double check for you, & send you a e-mail. You can get me at my regular e-mail address listed below. Jim R augerin2@aol.com

RE: trex 450 ESC
Great idea double check your solder joints, but are you flying the Align motor 430 X or XL I had issues with mine after a couple of crashes. I would wiggle the wires to get it to arm. That's where my issues were, & not at the ESC. I finally got fed up and replaced the motor with a Scorpian & not only got better power but reliability also

RE: FINALLY......FIRST CRASH!! TREX
Check you servos also. I don't remmember if you said your running metal gears or nylon. If nylon ,,you may have chipped teeth on on of the gears inside the servo. [X(] if it lets go next time you fly you'll be in the ground again. [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]Don't ask how I know LOL[:D Jim R

RE: Help me pick a new helicopter
I agree & disagree with most of these posts stay away from the cheap imitations, but the Blade 400 RTF comes with the Spektrum Dx6i. This is a radio you can grow with at least for awhile The blade has decent flight performace and parts are cheap & readlily available. If you have a local Hobby store that carries heli stuff I suggest ya start there. If not check out RC Hover & a few others on line like Horizon Hobby, Ready Heli etc. Good luck

RE: Help ASAP Please
If it's not your gyro gain, and I'll assume it's not , double check all the tail rotor control & connections. I had a vibration like that once on my 500 and it resulted in an unscheduled auto. Control arm was cracked before flight hadn't noticed it in preflight check, & it broke in flight right at the very end following a hard left hand banked turn

RE: Trouble Choosing 450(ish) size
Get yourself the Trex 450[:D] I would go with a V2, as the kits are on sale for less money[sm=thumbs_up.gif] then the 450 pro. & parts suppliers are numerous including aftermarket just my 2 cents JRod

RE: TREX 500 FIRST HOVER WITH TAIL WAG
Like Skarn said, gain probably too high. Go into gyro menu & lower gain until tail wags stops, raise it one click if it wags back it off one & that should be fine. I have a GT500 on mine with the Align DS520 works great !

I've got Futaba 9650's on mt cyclic and Align DS 520 on my tail, & I like the way they perform. Maybe a JR770 gyro in the near future to replace my 500GT Gyro [:D] Jim R

RE: Intrested in first electric heli, have questions.
If I was starting all over again I would'nt look any lower then a Blade 400. It comes with a good radio Dx6i, It's ready to fly and parts are readily available. A friend of mine tried the CP pro and found it next to impossible to fly. I tried it myself and found just hovering it a real challange

Great Job. but be careful. that little bird if it gets away from ya can cover alot of ground quick. I compleatly relate to the SIM thing. LOL I can do an awful lot on the SIM. But in real life I'm a lot more careful because crashing costs cash LOL Keep up the good work & have fun JRod

RE: should i get metal head on my 450
I have OR used to have a 450 SA also it's now a v1/v2 I replaced the all plastic head with the an all metal head I've had the all metal head for over 6 months with trust me lots of crashs including one that included it being hit by a car ! [:@] Except for the main shaft & the feathering shift nothing else was touched as far as the head went. We won't discuss the servos the tail boom or the frame. My last crash was a idle up whoops, tanked it into the ground & bird did the chicken dance of death. Again minor bend in feathering shaft & no damage what so ever to the head. Trust me the metal head will save you money in the long run. JRod
