RE: Rockslide RS10 Problem
It should be able to handle the 8.4v battery with out a problem, if I remember correctly.

I'm in Austin - try ATXdrift - it a small forum of locals. Have not been on the forum for a few weeks. Always up to drift, if the weather is not so hot. What do you drift?

The rig is a great entry level truck - if you want to compete in comps. this isn't the crawler for you - if you just want to backyard rock crawl, it perfect.

Yeah - 15 minutes sounds about right on the stock battery. I agree that the battery is a weak point.

RE: Redcat Racing - Top Notch Customer Service
Sorry to hear about the customer service issue - that is the opposite of what my experience was - I emailed and recieved a reply the next day, never thought about calling. That does suck if you tried calling and there was no answer - that really ticks me off when it happens to me. Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon - it sucks to wait for parts, that was my main concern when purchasing my Rockslide; I thought my fears were put to rest, but now I'm worried, again.

Any idea on the what upgrades/hop ups might be coming out? Seems that the truck will be back in stock in Mid-August - will any news parts be added at that time - how about adding pictures for the new parts on the website?

RE: Does anybody have the new Rockslide?
Wow - that is a small switch, barely visible. You would miss it even if you are looking at it. It is small (about 1 mm) on the side of the ESC just below the heat sink/fan. The switch makes a quick change - from barely noticable brake to no brake instant reverse.

Redcat Racing - Top Notch Customer Service
I just wanted to say " Thank You" to the people at Redcat for responding to my emails into customer service about replacement parts so quickly. The Rockslide RS10 is a great entry level Rock Crawler - this rig is better on the rocks than I would have imagined, with the smaller motors offering decent power. The transmitter is easy to use if you are familiar with the Futaba T3PM - almost identical in feel. I look forward to any upgrades that may be in the pipeline for this Crawler. If Redcat continues to offer well made products for at a great price point AND Top - Notch customer service before and after the sale, the Redcat name will continue bring new enthusiasts the RC scene - a good thing for us all. I would not hesitate to purchase another Redcat for bashing in the backyard with friends.... Thank you Redcat - J.G.

RE: Rockslide RS10 1/10 Scale Crawler
Thanks for the link - can't wait to see what else is available for this crawler. Are hop ups going to be available or just mainly replacement parts? I know that Redcat is entry level, but upgrades are always welcomed - can you suggest a higher mAh battery that would allow for longer runs times and fit in the battery compartment? P.S. Thank you for the quick repsonse to my emails to customer service about replacement parts - Top Notch all the Way

Cliff Climber motor options
Has anyone tried the upgraded motors for the Cliff Climber? On the duratrax website, it shows two motor upgrade options - "CC-11000" and "CC-8500" - which of these motors would have the better torque for crawling? Any better motor options in the 380 size for the Cliff Climber? Thanks for the help.

I'm just trying to gear my car for more top end speed - right now I have a 19T pinion and a 58T spur with a 25T motor. I was just looking over the chart in the manual.

RE: Tamiya TB-02 Resource Thread
Question about gearing and motor mount - in the manual it has a chart describing the position to mount the motor with each gear - if the chart is blank in some spaces (line through it), does that mean that those gearing options are not workable?

I figured the bling factor - main reason I'm thinking about it - do the other CF pieces add any performance, or again, mainly the bling factor? I mainly just drift on asphalt.

RE: Tamiya TB-02 Resource Thread
I have a diff. solution if you are trying to lock them - just take out the balls and use some .1mm spacers to adjust for the placement against the bevel gear. I'm running a GT tuned 25T motor and use the HPI screws in the diff. - no problems yet !?! How does the SS plate option on the bottom affect the performance?

The mesh is okay - a piece of paper is easily pulled through. I was thinking the same thing about the magnets, that's why I asked. Anything else I should look into before I use motor under load?

Rolling distance after throttle off
How far does your car roll after you release the throttle? I just put a new Tamiya GT tuned motor in my TB02 ans I am in the breaking in process. When I try roll my car, the slip seems to be tighter than the stock silver can - after a short pull on the throttle, the car do not seem to roll as far and freely as before the new motor - is this normal?

Some of the Carisma GT14 bodies may fit - the Ferrari (GT360-?) fits without any mods. Try looking for Carisma GT14 bodies.
