RE: DW Foamies Juka 40
I painted my DW foamy with Krylon fusion spray paint from a can. It works well. Mike Of DW told me about it. Just use light coats. If you go with a heavy coat of paint it will attack the foam. The light colors work the best. If you go with the dark colors, go with a light base coat let it dry, then repeat until you have the desired color. Tony

RE: Back after 5 yrs away
I had the same plane a few years ago and flew it with the YS140L. The power was perfect. Not over powered by no means, just right.

RE: What power source does everyone use for field charging?
When I go to a contest, I generally bring 4 sets of batteries. If we fly 4 rounds that day I am covered. I charge them back at the hotel. Before I go to bed, I make sure all 4 sets are charged. I usually bring the best set of batteries I have to a contest.

RE: Hobby king lipoly batteries
It is funny how threads will get off topic. All I wanted to know which is the real advertised weight of hobby king batteries and we went from how good this pack is compared to another pack and customer service, not arguing and ordering batteries. LOL

Hobby king lipoly batteries
I have been looking at the Rhino, flightmax and zippy batteries sold by hobby king. Does anybody know what are the actual weights of the batteries. When you first look at the batteries, the weights are higher but when you click on the battery it gives a lower weight. which one is correct?.

RE: Jet beginner and whats out there
Take a look at Horizon hobbies "park Zone" Habu jet. You can buy it as a bind and fly or plug and play. Bind and fly you use your transmitter. Plug and play you add your RX and battery. This jet is very popular and fast. A very good first jet. Takes about 15 min to build. Do a search on rcgroups about this jet and RCU

If you want to keep it light, spray light and use PPG, but use a single stage instead of the base coat clear coat system.

RE: need help about the primus 50
I flew Primus 50 today. It was a blast. Got in 5 flights. This is one of the easiest planes to do 3d manuevers. After I got comfortable with the plane I hand launched it into a hover. It just locked into the hover and then I did harrier figure 8ts. This is my favorite profile plane now. I am going to be getting the Primus 90 next. I also have the Zeque epp I am going to start to build. I really would like to get the Zeque Profile.

RE: need help about the primus 50
I just received my Hokusei Primus 50 from Bestvalue rc. It arrived in excellent condition and looks great. It is built very well. The price of the model and shipping was only $168. I spent a $2.68 for extra packing and it was well worth it. The $168 was to my door. Payed using paypal. Will do buisness with them for sure in the future. I plan on getting the Primus 90 next.

RE: Electric Integral Build
I used spacers between the front nose ring "mounted to fuse" and the motors nose ring. Just figure out the space and make 3 spacers. I used Aircraft ply for the spacers. I have flown the plane about 100 times and as of yet, no problem. I am running the Hacker C-50 14XL motor.

RE: Official Fedon Suhkoi 29S 30e build thread
I put the test flights on this plane this past week. The plane flies extremely well. It tracks like a pattern plane on low rates and the cg a little forward. I flew a pattern sequence with it and the plane flew it very nicely. It also does 3d flying well. I moved the battery pack back a little to move the cg back. Took off, pulled back hard on the elevator to do a wall and into a hover. I did a few flat spins, upright and inverted. Harrier rolls were next. The plane does harrier rolls very well. Harriers, upright and inverted are very easy to do with this plane. So far what I threw at the plane, it took it.

RE: Official Fedon Suhkoi 29S 30e build thread
I mounted the speed controller on the sode of the motor box. In the instruction book, they describe a very good way to install the cowl and will insure correct results, but I used my own way which is faster, but you have to be very careful or you will just mess up the alignment of the cowl. I use the eyeball method. Follow the instructions and you will not mess it up at all.

RE: Official Fedon Suhkoi 29S 30e build thread
Now came time to install the motor. remember it is easier to install the motor on the motor box before you glue it to the plane. Nothing special to note. Just bolt the motor the motor box, then glue the motor box to the fuse with thick CA glue.

RE: Official Fedon Suhkoi 29S 30e build thread
Next I installed the landing gear and wheel pants. It is easier to install the wheels and wheel pants on the gear before you install the gear on the plane. Pretty straight forward install. The plane comes with new side force generators designed by Sebastiano Silvestri. The attach to the landing gear with a little thick CA glue. Ths gear is held in place with blind nuts that are already installed and bolts.
