RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
Im hoping it will still run...hasnt been started since before the birth of my son (now 15 mths old)! I gave it a bit of a spruce up while it was in pieces since my last outing when I crashed it bad... Oh the last dirty pic is a few years ago before I got carried away with modding it.

RE: revo or savage??
The Savage might be more durable, but dont get hung up on ground clearance...take Truggies for instance, (IMO) they make great bashers and have way less ground clearance than a Savage, lower ground clearance also means lower COG which means less roll overs...

RE: bigger fuel tank
There will be no problems adding another tank...just make sure one tank feeds into the other. I was using two ofna 125cc tanks for a while with my mid tank mod and it worked fine, I only stopped using it to try out another tank I had.

RE: GS Racing XUT 1/8 truggy
Overall a great Truggy...a few braces/hinge pin holders need to be upgraded eventually but great for the price...if you had another engine in mind you could get the one without engine for $215

Yea Im still around...JUST!
Hi all, Well the Sav hasnt been running since December last year when I crashed it...see last Sav video [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XG7QYJeHYQ]HERE[/link] Anyway, bent the chassis real bad and after I stripped it down I gave my custom TVP to a dude who new someone who had a CNC mill...well I havent seen the guy again so gave up on that idea and the other day made up some more of my chassis plates myself. Finally the Savage is nearly ready to crank up, and lookin better than she ever has... Sold the Truggy when I was scaling back some of the toys (since the baby arrived!!!) couldn't part with my prized Savage tho!

RE: OFFICIAL AX10 Thread
Hi all ,thought I would try my hand at building a droop suspension tube chassis for my AX-10. Will most likely clean it up some more and give it a paintjob, but just want to try it out like it is just in case I want to make some changes. RE: Savage Racer Question......
I would go for the 2 speed...less changing IMO better for racing and less hassle to adjust shift points.

RE: Lsn tuning
Just go somewhere between 1 inch and the nipple and do it in the same place every time. Its not the time it takes to shut off its the sound it makes. If the low speed needle is set correctly, the engine should increase rpm only slightly and then die. If the engine increases several hundred rpm before dying, then the low speed needle is too rich and needs to be turned in. If the rpm doesn't increase at all and the engine simply dies, the low speed needle is set too lean and should be richened or turned out.

RE: AA Battery+Charger
You will def notice a difference with the extra cell (6v not 4.8v) with a hump pack. Will give you better steering.

RE: Disadvantages of mounting receiver and battery box on side....
ORIGINAL: twomanytoys Now that makes sense. How will that switch hold up with all the dirt the tire slings around though? Thats the only thing I would be worried about.
Its been sweet but you can always mount the switch inside one of those rubber switch boot thingies.

RE: Craziest thing youve ever done with your savage?
I hit a steel pole at WOT with my Sav, wasnt intentional but by the end of my bash session at the Skate Park my steering wasnt working so well...I didnt get the actual hit on video, but you can see the lead up, then you can hear the hit, and you can see the results... RE: CLICKING!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
When you have it in the air there is no load on the drivetrain so I guess thats why there is no clicking. Look at the wesh in the diff ring and pinion before stripping it down any further. Personally I would go thick on the oil.

RE: super hump pack?
ORIGINAL: got_nitro632 This is the 3x2 version if it, I think the cells are bigger though. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_221_224/products_id/18753
They are both AA cells so are the same size, just pick the config you think will fit best. The photo just makes it look smaller than the other one.

RE: .21 engines in Truggies
Go for the Go 5 port .21 in your truggy, has a bit more bottom end...these motors go great in Truggies. The 7 port is tamer off the bottom which is better for buggies.
