RE: BVM Bandit cloning in Brazil
No doubt ! Its only highlighted when big money involved. Other than that people dont say a word ! People dont usually sweat the small stuff. No matter what, big money or small money the principle remains the same.

RE: BVM Bandit cloning in Brazil
Hey how come everyone talking about cloning BVM planes ?? Arent the other planes clones too ? I believe the crux of the matter is not BVM but the price people pay for these things. Then when someone comes out with a wayyyy lower price, the buyers get mad, hence they have to vent. Once big money involved watch out ! I would feel bad and get angry too if I shelled out thousands for a product and then later on someone comes out with simliar product for less than half the price. Such as life. Some of these guys wives dont know how much we spend on the hobby. Imagine how they'd think : Toy plane $7000.00 !!!! Are you mad ! But honey the designers spent many hours on R&D, shipping, and lots of sleepness nights. Incoming ! (Frying pan in the head) After much turmoil she says either you go or I go. The man says the toy planes stays. The wife in dissarray speaks to herself in her mind: What! Who did I marry ? This is not real and not pratical ! Where's them divorce papers.

RE: turbine prices
It was once said you can find a formula to suit any purpose. How does one explain or justify Research and Development when more and more manufactures jump in on the bandwagon and start selling turbines, which naturally drives prices down. We seen this happen many times. If theres will theres way. If someone wants to sell turbines at a cheaper cost and maintaining quality, then they will. Its called technology. We've heard and seen it befroe, where people says this or that can't be done. Then a few years later we see break throughs in technology. Just a few unanswered questions which are not only realated to turbines.

RE: turbine prices
I believe kingtight really is saying some of the prices we pay for rc stuff just seems un real or impratical. Just because we got the money doesnt justify that its worth the price. Or like someone above says : I think it all boils down to what value the buyer "perceives" (real, or created by a marketing department) in the the product, and how much he/she is willing to pay for something. As long as people pay what the suppliers ask, and the suppliers sell their goods, it is a gree light that tells the suppliers the price level is fine...

RE: turbine prices
Even though turbine prices are considerably high, as more manufactures get in on the market I am sure prices will go down. Also technology, as always increases. In order to increase a demand of a product, someone will eventually find a cheaper way to manufacture one. So those people who sitting on the fence and waiting for prices to go down may eventually have their day. I remember when a local guy bought one of those early turbines when they first came out. Dags it was really expensive !! He shell out many dollars for one of those, and the quality wasnt no where near what we have today.

RE: 747 AIR FORCE ONE
Hi All I belive this kid needs direction. Its obvious he is a big thinker, but his energy and efforts need to be channelled properly. Its normal for a kid to be excited and have little arrogance. We all had mentors at some point in time and needed guidance on leadership and character development. Perhaps, if possible for someone to show him the principles of flight and if he decides to come up the ranks and taught to be humble am sure he would make a really awsome student. He can start out with foamy planes and through his efforts can cause many school students nationwide join in on the fun/hobby/sport. Hey dont kill his spirit. Train him in the way he should grow and when he is old it will not depart from him. Thanks

RE: Proboat Blackjack 55 Catamaran
The Black Jack is a fun boat to have. Its very strong. To rid of te flipping issue change the rudders to the aeromarine one which is on their front page. She will handle a ton beter its like night and day. You can buy a solid clutch from warehouse or bonzi , they both are the same. Those suggestions may help :)

RE: New GAS Boats from Venom!!
Just a quick question. I am trying to find the rating on that servo for the rudder. (ounces) Just wanted to know. not bashing I am fully aware that venom made their boat to run at certain speeds and for the novice market. Those boats moving at much higher speeds will defintely require a stronger servo thanks

RE: New GAS Boats from Venom!!
I am beginning to see some scary things happen to this boat. I really like thisr boat but I wish it was stronger. We have one here in our club and I see the same hull issues with others. It cracks at the rear. It was running on calm smooth water with hardly any chop. Mr. Venom is there going to be any plan for a version 2 ?

RE: Proboat Blackjack 55 Catamaran
Yes thats correct kwiktsi King 549 I have to see a video showing GPS for confirmation for that speed of 52 mph !! Reason being that motor which you have "souped up" should cause your boat to blow over because the motor is still in the orginal position. With that kind of power your motor should be at least 2 inches foward. Mine is currently set at 4 inches which is the max. adding more weight upfront would help to keep the nose down especailly with some head wind. I plan to increase power, so that the reason for me moving it all the way forward. Not trying to start a flame war, but just providing some information to help us achieve the max speed from our boats. If you havent experienced any blow overs , can you tell me why ? Your thoughts ? Thanks

RE: Proboat Blackjack 55 Catamaran
Yuo guys are good !! Confirmed I was about to buy a X670 prop. King549 which clutch do you have on that boat ? I have a ccracing steel pipe laying around and I might stick it inside . Next I found out that the exit shaft tube is in the wrong postion. That tube needs to be lowered some and that boat may really roll. Nice setup !

RE: Proboat Blackjack 55 Catamaran
Yes that must do !! Yes get the aeromarine rudders and you wont look back . So farI got 44 mph on my black jack. using x572 prop. I am goin to remove the clutch and see how fast she goes. My buddies got hi to go 50 mph consistenlty. I cpied some of his mod and am almost there. My engine is moved 4 inches forward measuring from the plug. His was 2 inches. He used a stock engine modified by his hand with a dremel, His boat would flip on full throttle on the straight. No joke This was with a litle head wind. My radio is also moved forward too.

RE: Proboat Blackjack 55 Catamaran
Slap a octura 572 prop on it and you should be happy camper. The prather 270 prop slips on take off but gives ok speed. The prather 275 prop like theking549 above said slower take off but wayy faster than the 270. The octura 572 prop " (cant touch this) "gets out the gate fast and has excellent top end. theres ya balance :)

RE: Proboat Blackjack 55 Catamaran
I belive the shaft on the blackjack 55 is not low enough. The shaft needs to be broken and placing the centre of the shaft with the bottom of the boat, and the strut must be lowered too. Lowering the shatf will cause the boat to get up quickly. The Cg must be shifted forward also . To do this, move the engine forward. Place the front engine mount in front mounting horizontal rails. Move fuel tank in front of the engine. This mod will cause the bat to want to go right. Add trims tabs and adjust right trim to bring boat back to center. An enforcer clocked at 47 mph got run down from this setup. It was not a pretty day for the enforcer/magnum (It had modified engine) Am not sure how much the BJ was doing but i know it was rolling . The whole boat was out of the water, just the third step barely in. :) This boat was built from the hull. Pics and video will follow.
