RE: rc-tradingpost.com BE CAREFUL
I too had a bad experience with rc trading post, I orderd my hurricane and a starter kit from them which I did receive. Except I emailed the guy asking him to throw in an al fuel filter if I gave him my buisness, to which he agreed. When I got my order, no filter was included. When confronted he blamed the UPS, even though I told him the boxes arrived in perfect condition. He said he would follow up on it, and I never heard fron him again. I probably could have kept buggin him but I didn't feel it was my responsibility to make him take care of his customers. Since it was supposed to be a freebie part I was satisfied with the free lesson instead.

RE: wife driving
Considering how well warning her to "stay away from the goal" seems to be working, perhaps you should tell her to stay away from the ramp and try to hit the goal

You know someone who could weld it for you?? I would if we lived closer to each other..... If you have to, you could take it to a welding shop...anything worth doing, is worth doing right!

RE: redcat tornado vs. losi 8ight lolJ
My cane is quite fast too and its all stock cept for the air filter. I believe that the 1/8 scale redcats are far superior in terms of performance, not saying that the 1/10 scale redcats are bad, its just that the larger scale is a huge difference.

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
ORIGINAL: Surferbud2
ORIGINAL: Hibityhupla!
ORIGINAL: Surferbud2 Just received my Tornado BB and noticed that the left rear wheel as alot more toe-in than the right side (so much so that that it slightly rubs against the body). I looked, but didn't see any way to adjust it. Is it possible, it must be possible right? Thanks in advance for any help.
should be two ball head allen screws in the wheel hubs. The big allen screw is for tension the one behind that is the one you want. should be able to adjust the front one out until it's straight.
ahhh i see now what was behind the big allen screw! thx!
you may want to find out the factory pre sets and adjust yours to match....when i got my hurricane i noticed the rear wheels were toed in slightly, after asking i found out it is adjustable but you want some ( 1 to 3 deg) toe in for better handling... mine also had some camber too, not saying yours don't need to be adjusted, i'm simply telling you you prob wont like the handling as much if you align the wheels up perfectly straight, especially if you run on tracks

RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/8th BUGGY thread (not truck thread)
I have a question for you buggy men, the rear wheels on my cane are toed in at the front, is there an adjustment to align these wheels? I have tried everything to square them up with the chassis. I am trying to get my chassis rolling as free as possible. my other concern is rear tire wear with this condition.

I would bite the bullet and go for some hump packs and chargers, I picked up mine for $20 ea. otherwise you are looking at 24 AA batteries to run both trucks at once

RE: Who ran what this week?
ORIGINAL: Swamp3r I took out my tsunami out for 4 tanks, then I ran my hurricane for 6 tanks only a broken bumper AGAIN, Then a buddy and his wife came over for a bbq I was breaking in his monsoon while I cooked so we could go bashing monsoon against monsoon, after the third tank he wanted to see the acceleration so I let it rip in my back yard and right before I needed to turn to miss the fence the bloody servo horn stripped and the truck kept going straight I ran over 2 of our yard lights you know the solar powered ones, wife wasn't happy lol. So we went to the soccer field there I had to swap my servo horn from my hurricane to his monsoon nothing else broke. Funny that I went through a full gallon and had no more I just bought it today. But it was a blast so relaxing. Going to lhs to get more blue thunder tomorrow we are going to race head to head, little does he know I have his monsoon running really rich he doesn't stand a chance.[;)]
hahaha........ebil man, pure ebil

RE: Breakin the law??
ORIGINAL: zeen420
ORIGINAL: DonnyNitro I think it would be actually stupid and irresponsible to be drunk or stoned driving one of these cars. with the speed of a nitro vehicle it would be pretty easy to lose control if your senses are dulled. Could smash the car into something and destroy your car, or hit something and damage what you hit, or even worse, hit a person and break their ankle. the choice is yours but the consequences could be pretty bad.
Oops, guess I'm guilty of the second offense you named there[&:][&:] LOL[:-] But I will agree that being inebriated to a point that you cannot function properly could cause some major damage to property or person. There is no actual "charge" for being intoxicated while operating a RC vehicle around here, But if your in a public place, There is the drunk in public charge.. But I don't see a problem if your ripping around in your backyard. I have 2 cops and a lawyer in the family so I know the laws well :)
........SURE you do! We know why you know the laws so well![:D]

Just curious if its possible to get an OWI or DUI with an rc car???? Trying to settle an argument between a couple of buddies and me since I tend to have a few beers when I'm bashing. Please comment or share your story.

yup yup turn it no more than a quarter turn at a time trying it after each adjustment, if it begins to stall you have adjusted too far

RE: Redcat Racing Hurricane Thread
These are the things you will need.. Redcat starter kit ( includes plug ignitor w/ charger, fuel bottle, and a couple general purpose tools) After Run Oil Air Filter Oil 20% Nitro fuel 6v Hump Pack w/ charger or 4 AA Batteries for car 8 AA Batteries for the remote Blue Loctite A Couple Glow Plugs Fail Safe ( not required but highly recommended to prevent a "run away" situation ) When you first get your buggy you need to check all screws to make sure they are tight, and apply the loctite to all metal to metal screws. As for the glow plugs, I prefer the OS #8. I bought 8 reachargable AA Ni-Mh batteries w/ charger for my remote and a hump pack w/ charger for the car to avoid hassle and expense of alkaline batteries. Good Luck and welcome to the addiction [:D]
