RE: How to get a refund from Fly Eagle Jets?
ORIGINAL: raptureboy It's simple.
They are Chinese, they have NO values, NO morals, and they have YOUR money
. Write all the contracts you want and ask for pictures they mean nothing to them.  Ask any manufacturer that has products produced there and they will tell you; if you don't watch them every step of the way they will rip you off and cut corners. Look at all the recalls and defective products they pawn off on us. My friends dog was nearly killed when the name brand dog food he was feeding him was found to have melamine in it. The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a bargin price, and I would never pay up front to someone 1000's of miles away for what is essentialy a stock product. Good luck.

Ok gentlemen, this is getting WAY out of control. If you can't discuss this issue without attacking those that you don't agree with then I would suggest you don't enter into the discussion. Because if this bickering and attacks on each other continue I'll hand out some administrative actions on those that can't get along. The choice is entirely up to you on how we proceed from here. Ken
I guess the above statement is OK ??
ORIGINAL: redtail Basil, this is Chic White, I'm as angry as I can be. It rained and rained and the wind blew fairly well almost all day here in Alexandria. Great landing and smoke. I'm partial to the Air Force so I'll let you get away with the Navy stuff. Smile. RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video
If you tip stall the Flash, Ultra or Classic its because the plane got too slow. A rearward CG can exacerbated a tip stall if the plane is already slow and pilot pulls the nose up too much, which obviously induces drag.
Any Jet will tip stall if it gets too slow and try to flare..I only had 5 flight on the Ultra Flash and never experince any tip stall because I fly it or any other jet all the way to final..I do notice with full flaps the back end goes up..not sure if this means its too much flaps.

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video
ORIGINAL: Jack28 Is there anyone using the AT landing gear legs that have issues ,like soft springs , bouncing on landing and swerving down the runway on take off. I fought this issue recently and have never had an issue keeping a jet sttaight on take off or bouncing landings. A friend with a Flash helped me with UF landing technique and I learned to fly a slower pattern and land slower and that took care of the bouncing for the most part (Thanks Alot Boston Brian ,I really Appreciate It!!!). The issue with swerving down the concrete runway (grooved airport runway) was out of control!! I did notice that the r/s tire had some runout and would rub on the leg , everytime it would rub the jet would squat down on that side.(Fixed the rubbing/ was a little bit better). Then as a temporary fix ,I bound the AT trailing link knee joint on both main legs with electrical tape (to prevent the strut from compressing) just to try it out. The swaying was now totally eliminated , and the jet is WAY more forgiving on landings. No more bouncing! Even when landing is a little fast! It stuck everytime on landing and didn't bounce at all. This has led me to believe that the gear springs are too soft, and as the the jet starts to settle on the gear the wing angle of attack changes (more positive) and causes the jet to get airbourn again. I do know that proper landing technique is required , Too fast and you bounce, although tapeing the mains ridgid made this jet so much easier to land without bouncing. I have over 260 flights on my Boomerang and never have had any bouncing issues. I also owned an Classic Flash /with the origional straight compression Comp arf struts and it never bounced like this jet does. I have the origional straight compression struts from my old Composite ARF flash on my Boomerang and they work great . I was thinking of changing out the AT legs, or at least getting higher tension springs (if they make them??) , I have also considered the same straight struts that came with the Classic flash. Any advice or suggestions are welcome .Thank You , Jack.
At post 1885..that's the problem I was talking about. My fix was to shorting the spring by removing 4 rings and it fix the problem alittle but I might have to remove 4 more [;)]. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTExWRVGQHA

RE: Weatronics....considering a change .is it worth the investment?
My final conclusion on my Bandit loss was posted in the Weatronics thread, post # 1881. In summery. the model was lost due to poor radio link quality. This was obvious from the recorded data and verified by Weatronics. The reason for the poor RF link was not determined, and probably never will be. HOWEVER, the Wea system worked admirably well in that the receiver data was being recorded right until the final loss of control. Examining this data enabled us to rule out all the other usual crash causes. Without this data, this crash would have been just another unexplained lock out.
Question.. did your weatronics Rx had daul receivers ? and if so did the data shows both rx suffer the same weak signal? P.S Maybe weatronics should look into a new TX with weak link booster hidden inside the Telemetry down-link just like cellphones...Just kidding [&o]

RE: With or without rudder on the Rookie II
any 70 oz/in servos with correct linkage geometry will do. Sorry, I don´t have any videos, but have a story: Many years ago a guy was doing low level knife edge passes in a r/c event with a HS when the CD went with a microphone to the flight line and asked to the pilot: - Nice flying mister! Can you narrate your maneuvers while you fly? the pilot said: - Ehhhhhhhh.....and then it crashed. the HS was no more. Fortunately both of my friends where very cool minded, and no assasination attempt happened after this.LOL.. now they laugh everytime they remind this.
