RE: Gazelle.com
Gazelle.com is a rip-off !!! I would rather keep my junk or used stuff then sell it to them B.S amounts of money.

RE: Just Cant Win
ORIGINAL: Foxy
ORIGINAL: Night_Train i've been in the hobby for a while,.so im pretty much well seasoned. I have a collection of nitros, from hpi, ofna and traxxas.  and this redcat is falling way short. yes i understand they are lower end rcs but when you do all the upgrades they get up there in durability. my traxxas rustler is bone stock,  and you would not believe the crap it has been through, and its always ready to go, As far as the nylon nut, it was only used one time. and im not a big fan of using loctite on an m3 thread when your already using a nyloc nut. I totally agree and your right 100% there is alot of up keep and headaches when in this hobby. But there is always a point that you will get to when you say enough is enough! and start considering spending it on another brand than keep dropping it on something that might be a lost cause, I honestly dont even have a whole quart of fuel ran through this buggy yet!  Next time your at Ed's ask him if he carries any parts for these redcats and see what he says lol or pretty much anyone else around here that is reputable when dealing or working on nitros. Im either having to make my own parts or wait a week and a half to get them from A.Z.
Great response. Indeed, you get what you pay for. I would be surprised to hear of a seasoned hobbyist buying a Redcat. They are entry level vehicles and should be treated as such. RE: Can't get a hold of RU FASTER.com
The only thing I can suggest to you is to have a little patience and he (rufaster) will get back to you I mean the guy is on the redcat section all the time. It is possible he may be busy at the moment with whatever his life has to hold him back from responding to you at the moment. I have bought from rufaster and never had any problems.
ORIGINAL: Night_Train
i''ve been in the hobby for awhile. Don't take this the wrong way but why in the world you buy a redcat if you have been in the hobby for a while after purchasing Losi and HPI rc cars ? Why not buy another Losi or HPI?

RE: My first Redcat Review
I owned a Tornado (first rc) and never had any issues with the brakes or linkage and any issues I had with it were from user error, I had some good times with it until I sold it to someone on this forum. It is possible you may have overlooked something on your buggy that caused the brakes to fail.

In 2009 I bought a tornado S30 from rufaster; I bought another one which was technically my first but had some issues with a seller on ebay and returned it.

RE: aftershock 8e shock ends
ORIGINAL: cerpindicular Big air busted one of the shock ends that the screw passes through to attach it to the suspension arm. Does anyone know where i can get just the shock ends? I looked at rufaster and redcat and all i can find are the complete shock sets. My shocks are all fine its just that one end i busted so i don't want to have to order a set of shocks for 1 end. Will the shock end off something else work. like a 1/8 ofna shock end or something.
I actually used some spares from my Savage Flux they fit okay but not perfectly so you might wanna crimp the bottom of the spring with some pliers so they fit over the shock end tightly. You can get those probably at your LHS.

RE: Anyone use REDCAT lighting epx?
ORIGINAL: dragnse7en No offense - I have heard that Redcat is a knockoff piece of junk company based inside China that steals other company's kits, just to reproduce them as a lower quality piece of crap. I'd rather buy a toy car from Wal-Mart or Radio Shack, and I bet it would last a lot longer than what Redcat produces.
How would you know since you never actually owned one; a perfect example of someone who makes a big deal about which toy is better then the other because when it all comes to it you are arguing about a toy car and very expensive ones at that. This hobby and this forum is about helping people and not about degrading someone who is new to the hobby and would rather go the the less expensive entry level route. The person who started the thread didn't ask if his rc was any good or not so why make him feel bad about what he purchased? Not everyone can afford expensive rc kits just so they can make a fashion statement to let everyone that they only buy the best TOYS. I have owned a couple redcats (currently own one) and I actually had pretty good luck with them or at least the same amount of that I have had with my popular rc's. A more expensive price tag does not stop an rc from having issues or breakage .

RE: Just ordered a Savage X SS!
I have one and if they have not updated the kit just recently I would say no. It's a fun build; I was a newbie myself when I bought it and the only thing i can suggest is to upgrade as you break parts probably starting with the a arms (RPM arms) those were parts that I broke first and if you are a hardcore basher replace the stock diffs with the HD diffs.
