Mac's scotsman mufflers?
I found these on the Macs Site and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them? I am looking for a lightweight muffler option for a 120ax but I know the standard Macs mufflers usually cause a loss of power or no gain. Are these the same just louder a d unpainted?

Mugen wheel nut
I bought a used MBX-5 Pro Spec a while back and lost the wheel nuts. I ordered what I thought were the correct ones fro AMAIN this week but they seem to be a different thread. The part number is C0208B. Is this the correct nut? Is there some trick to getting them on? The buggy does have quite a few afermarket parts, is it possible they are aftermarket hubs that take different nuts?

Best 30cc class engine for 3d?
Exactly as the title states, i am wondering what everyone thinks about the engines in this size range. I know they are not exactly giant scale but i am pretty sure this section will have more ppl who have experiencrd these engines as opposed to the gas engine forum or the 3d forum. My main concerns are power, weight, price, and reliabilty. Not neccesarily in that order. I haven't decided on an airframe yet but i am looking for something around ten or eleven pounds with 72'-78' wingspan so any suggestions there would help as well. Thanks for any help you can give me. This will be primarily for 3d/ precision flying.

RE: Mugen MBX5 PS electric motor mount
It is the 150 amp ezrun system. It comes with the 2000kv 4274 motor. I bought all the conversion parts from RCM along with a 14tooth pinion. I'm gonna run my two 3s in series to start with and if its too much just go from there. Thanks for the help, I'll be sure and let you know how it turns out.

Mugen MBX5 PS electric motor mount
I went ahead and bought the c-xerun 2000kv brushless combo from hobbypartz for my MBX5. Figured I'd take a chance on a new system since Hobbycity is out of everything i wanted. I can't seem to find a motor mount however. RCM is out of strock and eliteRC only makes one for the MBX6. Any ideas? Also i can't decide what size packs to get. I have never raced and I'm not sure if i will so I am hesitant to get a 4 cell pack because i don't wanna be wanting more power. SHould i go 5s or go all out and get a 6s pack? Also what size pinions should i use with each?

best hobbycity motor for bashing?
I'm picking up a used MBX5 PS roller this week and I plan on converting it to electric. I' on a budget here but I am looking for crazy amounts of power. I plan on running a 6S setup as i already have the batteries and was wondering what hobbycity motor would be the best for this. Any other budget motor options? I would like to keep the price around 80$ or less.

VXL Problem
I drive a traxxas slash 2wd with a velineon sysyem in it. It is geared 16/86 and I run a 3s 4000mah lipo. About a week ago I had a high speed run in with a metal pole and broke the right rear a-arm. Since then every time i accelerate from a full stop the motor cuts out if I pin the throttle. It does this till about 15-20mph and after that it accelerates fine. It also sounds like it is cutting out any time it gets to full speed if that makes sense. The motor and esc are also getting much hotter than before the crash. Any idea what the problem is? I'm stumped. Battery is staying cool btw

what to do?
I recently purchased a used slash with a VXL system and DX 2.0. I'm running 3 cell 4000mah lipos. I heard something break today and after closer inspection found out it was one of the tranny gears, not the spur. While i had the truck apart I noticed the chassis is also broken where the bulkhead bolts on. My question is this, should I replace the broken parts or drop all the hardware into something else? I run mostly on grass so 2wd wasn't ideal. I'm thinking maybe a slash 4x4 roller or even a LX-1E. Any suggestions?

Good deal?
I just bought a used slash for 200$. I think i got an ok deal just want your opinions on it. Its about a year old, came with 2 traxxas batteries, 2 bodies, 2 sets of tires, VXL system, and a Spektrum DX2.0. All stock otherwise except for metal hubs in the rear. Did I do ok?

RE: revo steering servo?
I have two futaba 9350's on hand and I was hoping to get away with just using one of them. They are 139 oz/in on 6volts with a transit speed of .12 seconds. Should I put both of them in place of the stock steering servos with the stock setup or would i be better off going with a single bigger servo like the JR 8717 and getting the single servo saver arm? It is a heli servo but has 200oz/in torque and a transit speed of .07. Also I know I will be getting RPM arms for starters, anything else I should get from the start?

revo steering servo?
I am getting a Revo used from a buddy and I am trying to figure out what I want to do to it. One thing I am sure I want to do is switch to one steering servo. Is this an easy thing to do? Do I need some kind of conversion kit for it? Also will a 120 ounce servo be enough for both wheels or should I go with something bigger? I have two futaba 9350's and I'd like to use one of them if possible. Thanks for any help you can give. Also any other important upgrades that should be done feel free to let me know.

Does anyone make a full conversion kit for this truck? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

RE: Another day in Baton Rouge
Yeah it was at Redstick. He ran right into the center section of the pits where the wall is. I have a funny story about redstick. A sponsored IMAC guy came out to the field one day when he was in Baton Rouge for business. He stayed a while and came back the next day. We all thought it was an average weekend but he told us out of the hundreds of clubs he has visited over the last 20+ years he has never seen so many crashes in one weekend. Maybe we are flying over an Indian burial ground? Or maybe all the refineries and plants really are affecting us? We do have fun though

This one really wasn't a crash but I figured some of you might enjoy seeing the pictures anyway. One of our members was leaving the field sunday and put his car in drive instead of reverse. I don't know how it happened or why as I did not speak to him after but here were the results. Nobody was hurt.

RE: Seagull 180
I flew one the last two weekends with a ST 2300. The motor was brand new so I do not know what it will be like when broken in but with a new motor the plane flew well. Had just enough power to crawl out of a hover. The plane does fly very well. The plane is built very solid and all the hardware is at least useable.

RE: What's YOUR Opinion???
If you are a habitual gear ripper i say go with nylon bolts. They are plenty strong enough for the good landings but can save you a headache with the less than perfect ones. Another neat trick I have seen with smaller electricsis putting a thin layer of gorrilla glue inside the fuse between the ribs with the gear plate. Makes it very strong but doesn't add much weight.

Another crash from the boys in Baton Rouge
This one really wasn't our fault like most of the crashes are. My buddy was making his turn into the wind while taxiing? and the plane suddenly went WFO. The plane went through a pilot box, narrowly missing another pilot who was flying, and made a large loop straight into the ground. The cause was a bad switch which caused the voltage to drop low enough the plane went into fail safe, which had not been set. Here are the results.
