RE: RC10GT need race setup
I use black rear springs, and silver fronts. ABout 5 truns of preload all around to start off. Gear a little higher than stock. Get used to how your truck handles. Just go out and make laps, try not to hit anything. LOL Got a pic?

About 4-5 drops in motor. After every use which is once a week.

RE: OVAL/BASH?
The rules for our oval track are 2wd, single speed tranny. I use a firestorm, but the availability of parts is kinda a downer. None of the tracks I go to carry HPI. Rustlers, GT10s, and the XXX-NT are proven winners with wide part supply, as well as many upgrades.

RE: bored so whats ur favortie truck?
I own a firestorm so it would have to be my favorite. My friends I race with both own the XXXT. They are nice trucks, and parts are easy to find. I like the GT10 too though. Alot of guys have great amounts of luck with them where i race. I don't know any of the other trucks though.

RE: Mini- Dirt Oval Racing
I have a slider in the mail. That's going to be winter racing. I wish we had a strong turn out for 1/18th this summer, but it wasn't to be. Nice updates, looking forward to more.

I have a NOvak Spy in mine and it runs well. Lots of brushless systems out there. Mambas are the most common I've seen.

RE: drifting with a jato
The problem as I see it is, short wheelbase + rwd + nonuniform powerband = frustration. But have fun.

IT takes a 24. Should be in the servo saver parts set. Check your manual.

This is my OVAL storm. Everybody at the local tracks run AE Traxxas. MY slightly modified truck keeps up with the purpose built racers. RE: Steering for the firestorm 10T
I put in a hi-tech 645mg. It cost $35 at my LHS. I also upgraded to a hump pack instead of the AA. That has helped out greatly.

You have to custom fabricate it. Nobody makes one yet.

Steering is better, thanks brisbane. NOw it won't start. I changed glow plugs because the old one was burnt out. Now it won't even try to fire. I replace the plug with the same kind, and am using a rotostart. I am charging the glow ignitor now. Should the back of the engine be all greasy? It seems excessive to me.

I just installed a Hitec 645 for the steering. It is now turning less than before with the stock servo. I messed with all the adjustments on the controller but still not much turning going on. Any thoughts?
