Is this a true Park Zone motor or a black look alike one? Looks to be a new motor being a 3200Kv rather than a 3600

RE: Parkzone Habu
Thanks David for chiming in , this looks like it will be a success .We don't need no stinkin speed machine ,just as long as they fly good . Are there any plans to have other type jets of this size in the future ? I see painting this model to mimic military show teams or other types of miliatry jets . How about putting a set of retracts in it like the Beech Bonanza?

I jumped in at the first batch of F-16's and look what I got into(i still have the replacement plane and cant give it away) I think I'll wait till the Swap Meet at Perry and let the new wear off with a few others testing the Habu and maybe I'll get a show price special !

RE: Parkzone Habu
ORIGINAL: hamburgrd If this thing flies as good as the videos show I will have to have one. The advertisements in Backyard Flyer is saying ''100 plus mph''. After reading the parkzone website, the included gear sounds impressive. 300 bucks for a pnp foam plane might sound like a lot but if it doesn't require any up grades like other cheap EDFs i think it is going to be a great plane. The videos have been very impressive. I think it will be nice to buy an arf model and not have to rip out and replace all the electronics and hardware.
But the BNF is only a $100 more and you get reciever ,battery , charger, servo's all you have to do is charge ,Bind and Fly. Of course it's not the top of the line charger , but ..........

Well Rick ,I still have mine (the replacement) setting on a shelf. It'll set there till I get a motor sent to me or when cows start putting methane gas in my car. or when the grandson gets a little older ,It'll hang in his room. I don't see it flying ever!

I think ( and this is my enginering thinking) they could have made it about 25% bigger and had a much better product .....with the 70mm fan and better motor. Even 15% bigger!

RE: ***** New E Flite F16 400 DF (Thunderbird Scheme) *****
Well ANT, you sure hold a grudge . I haven't had the pleasure of installing a better motor/ fan combo just yet ,but I do not think one less customer will hurt Horizon's business or their feelings . I think they could have delayed the release and done more testing to ensure a quality product . You just cant please all the people al the time. There are plenty of other products from Horizon that are good and work well. With the economy the way it is more people will complain about a product for small things as well as the bigger things that they dont like. I for one will be buying more as things get better. Just riding out the storm. "D"

RE: ***** New E Flite F16 400 DF (Thunderbird Scheme) *****
Imagine,i'm like you as I have been in the aerospace industry some 35 years ,the last 15 working Gulfstreams and Sabres .I've had my share of Heli's and piston popers. I too believe this thing will fly and could stand a few mods to make it even better. I just like the looks of the darn thing and want to se it perform like it's full size counter part. I've been R/C ing since 1970 and C/L longer than that. The cost is getting way too high. I just saw the F-22 from SApac America and I must say for 150 bucks it's quite impressive. I guess you got to be the guinea pig on this one .Keep up the good work and keep us informed. Thanks Darrell M.

RE: ***** New E Flite F16 400 DF (Thunderbird Scheme) *****
OK lets see ,It's a little nose heavy with a 4s . Are you using the landing gear ? If not move the battery back to where the servo is for the nose stearing is. You may have to dig out a little foam, but it will move the CG . If you are using the gear then move the battery into where the ESC is locted and put the ESC and reciever up in the nose. I only have 3s batterys so I cant check this. Also I don't have the Delta -V unit at this time. Anyone want to elaborate on this?

I don't mind paying a little to get a better fan/motor.I just hope the flying is better ! I didn't get much of a chance to find out if it would be a good plane or not. I'm sure it will.
ORIGINAL: David Eichstedt
ORIGINAL: bearcatf8 So is this different from the Delta 480 ? Dyna Jet ? large Bottle Rocket ?
Delta-V 480 is available now with a 4000 kV motor. This is what I've asked Ed to try out. The new system I mentioned earlier isn't a new fan, it will be a higher kV motor for the Delta-V 480. It will be a couple months before we're ready
