RE: Robitronic Scalpel 1/18
I have one and its put together but not properly setup yet. Im working out the turnbuckle lengths on the front for a good setup and using zip ties and an rc18 pack to power a sidewinder/42 combo. Ill post more once Im happy w/ the setup. So far, I am very happy w/ the price/quality ratio. I have a brp that I think will be tougher but lacks all the red aluminum bling.

RE: Trinity Now or Duratrax Vendetta ST
Motor is small, so you can make it fit into a lot of other cars, an 18t will fit for sure, or you can pick up a 4200 for 20 bucks from castle anytime. The lipos will fit in an 18t w/ very little chasis modification (change the plugs as well of course) Im not saying (knowing what I know now) that I would pick the now over the vendetta, because I wouldnt, Im just saying there are a few bright spots, just not enough for most to spend the money. If there was part support, it would be a different story.

RE: Trinity Now or Duratrax Vendetta ST
there arent many positives for the now... but I will throw out a few- 1 Price for brushless 2 When it breaks, you still have a mamba 25 and a brushless motor to transfer to another car 3 The lipo battery and charger in it are ok but again, for the price, still seems like a decent deal. The negatives for this car are many and have been beaten to death. Mine still runs fine but it has been a streat beater and not jumped or offroaded at all.

RE: Trinity Now
the only thing i really dislike about the now is parts availabilty, but that is such a HUGE problem that i would look elsewhere. too bad, trinity could have had a real hit w/ brushless rtr for a very cheap price.

RE: Monster GT anyone have one?
I am going to keep mine much tighter this time out, as I burnt a donut hole in this last spur. I just forgot to check it last time out and so no mgt action for 2 weeks. That will learn me[:D]

RE: Monster GT anyone have one?
I just figured out why I couldnt tighten down my spur gear screw. I dont have the friction pegs. (Sigh) Is this the best solution or is there a better slipper clutch arrangement out there for the mgt? Anyone tried the RRP slipper?

Anyone have a tip on how to best tighten down the screw for the spur gear. Seems like you need 3 hands.

RE: Dura Trax Raze
after a gallon and a half, my pullstart gave way. second thing to go wrong (1st was of course the steering servo). The supertigre engine is a beast for a stocker. I did find some screws backing out, but if you do your part, you will catch these things and correct them before something bad happens. A little locktite goes a long way.

RE: Anyone own a Raze?
More like 35-40 but ymmv. The steering servo is the only must for bashing.

RE: when are you guys going to get the tsunami?
I have a tsunami. It is the truck that I lost the idle screw from. I can still run it if I adjust the throttle trim up and dont let it sit. Im in the process of replacing the screw and putting in the hpi clutch as well as a new center drive dogbone that fell out during the first tank after break in. Great service from redcat on that. Im looking forward to getting it back together. The brief time I had it going, it screamed. Going to be a fun truck, just gotta work out the usual new truck bugs.

RE: Dura Trax Raze
You can do a lot to a buggy in a month, no matter how old it is. But if you havent gone nutz w/ it, it should still be holding up well. Mine is. The SuperTigre engine is awesome for a stocker.

RE: Is Nitro RC Worth It?!
Nitro RC has offered me the highest highs (TORQUE!, WOT high speed runs, THE sound of a pefectly tuned nitro engine[:D]) and the lowest lows (raw hands from pullstarts, difficult tuning and starting engines, crashes w/ WOT high speed runs).[:o] If money is a real concern, I would stay electric.

RE: Disconnected line in tank
I think I have the same problem. I need to empty out the tank to make sure, but it looks like a line has been knocked off somehow. Oh well, there are much worse things that can happen.

Wow, heat is the only way I would have been able to get it off. Did you red locktite it back on? Hope so, that part needs it.

Looks Good GH. Im only 60-70% thru my DI build. Great kit so far and no real problems except I hate phillips head screws and replaced them w/ hex screws.

Electric Schumachers?
I have seen them around, but I dont see any one your site... Whats up w/ that? No interest or demand? I am just making the leap into Nitro (pretty sure there is a riot in my future), but if you carried the electrics, I know of one sale you would make.[:D]

RE: schumacher riot-going to get it!
If handling and racing is important, I would go elsewhere. If your looking for a good basher, I think either one would be a good choice (my opinion).

RE: Shum. riot or jammin crt.5? How will a 1/12 handle offroad?
They have the menace, but imo, its really a converted road car w/ big tires. A cool truck w/ 4wd, but not really a ST, close, but not quite. And its wicked fast. But I like 2wd anyhow.
