RE: This is my re-painted volcano sv
When you guys say out you mean counter clock wise from being flush with top? I've been having tuning issues too since I took my carb apart.

RE: Drill starter
Cleaned it off and it fired up first try. Now if I can just figure out why it wants to die when idle after its been running. I'm assuming its a tuning issue I had the whole carb apart last week so I'll just have to keep messing with it.

RE: Drill starter
I'll definately give that a try. My truck has been down for well over a month now. Just fixed one thing and was hoping it was good to go.

Drill starter
I have a drill starter on my sv and when I go to start it, it doesn't even attempt to turn over the starter just spins freely. Any ideas on what it is?

I dunno that new 1/8 buggy looks bad a**. I don't have any experience with the electrics but if I were to buy one that'd be the one.

RE: questions for you redcat owners
I got mine as a gift from my fiance she got it on ebay after I had been looking at it for a few weeks. I guess what would be really nice is if the dealers were more available locally rather than just online. Nothing more frusterating than having to wait for parts and not having enough money to stock up on parts.

Just curious.... Is it that they're copying or they both have the same supliers and neither really "make" their models?

Hey, I was curious I had read a post where you had mentioned a redcat social networking site. Is that still in the works?

4wd vs 2wd
So I have only owned a four wheel drive truck and I was curious if there were any advantages of owning a 2wd? I'm assuming you can climb better with the four wheel drive and do wheelies with the 2wd anything else better about having a two wheel drive truck?

RE: Volcano Carb
I think I'll take ya up on that offer. I hadn't had a chance to actually drive it since I put the other piece in and it actually isn't getting the right fuel mixture when I finally got a chance to. Making it a huge pain to tune.

RE: Volcano Carb
Hey, found one for a traxxas truck that works great just had to use this little washer piece that came with it to make it fit right on the needle because its was slightly thinner than the other.

RE: Volcano Carb
It is hard to wait I think there should be a warning label on redcats that they're addicting. I've had more down time with mine then driving time I probably shouldn't drive it so hard when I'm broke ;)

Yeah good points I took it back off didn't run it for but 2 seconds to see if it worked so I'm sure its fine I'll just have to go to a couple hobby shops to see what they got.

RE: Volcano Carb
So I decided to try to super glue the piece back on since it was a fairly clean break and it seemed to work good no leaks. Just as long as nitro fuel doesnt eat through super glue. I guess if it does I'll find out soon enough. Thanks again for the offer.

Volcano Carb
I flipped my volcano pretty hard today and some how even with the body on it snapped the plastic piece where the high speed needle is and connects the fuel line to the carb. Is there any way to order that part it would be easy to replace if so. I haven't been able to find it on the parts search.

Dog bone shaft
If the shaft is slightly bent that goes from the differential to the wheels should I worry about replacing it before I run it? it wont mess up the differential or anything will it?

To Everyone
Traxxas vs. Redcat My brother in law is going to be purchasing a nitro truck after seeing mine run. He is tossed up between the T-Maxx and the Volcano. He said he has been reading bad reviews from people who've owned redcats. I can't really speak on much as far as which is more durable or reliable since I've never owned anything else. His other reason would be that parts are more readily available for traxxas. Whats your thoughts on this? I've ran into quite a few problems with mine all of which have been from bashing and jumping.

RE: Rear Differential
Ah, that would make sense. She was taking some pretty hard hits. They tore out quite a few acres of forest to put in homes by my brother in laws house. Makes a good place to go bashing :). When I get her running again I'll have to make a video its a sweet spot.

Still no broken teeth? mine started making noise and then broke in about 45 seconds of running it.

Rear Differential
I had both gears in my rear differential lose some teeth. Is this common or is there anything I can do to avoid it in the future? Wasn't really sure what could cause it other than maybe faulty parts. I just got electric start put on it to after pull starter messed up for the third time in the 12 or 13 runs I've done in it so far. So I was aching to drive it.
