RE: HB 61 PDP
I own a HB .61 and I have intalled it on a H9 p-51 mustang. The prop shaft is too short and I was hoping to machine a new one on the CNC. My problem is I cannot figure out how to remove the shaft from the engine. Can you shed some light?

RE: Dago Red vs 50"SD
Well, it looks like nobody thinks the .76 is going to work well so I will be forced to shoe horn in the 140 (lol). Dixon, it is a good thing you have a good self asteem, because you are going to need it when you get back....

RE: The PTS mustang is NOT a good trainer
I purchased the P-51 pts after flying a small electric. This was my first nitro powered model and I was nervous. I powered down the field and the aircraft lifted off with ease. It flew smooth and stable and with only a few clicks to the left it was hands free. I have since removed the worthless evolution motor and replaced it with an OS .55 (13X8 prop). Now it flies like a dream with nearlyl unlimitied vertical. I also had it on radar at over 100mph. Since I purchased this aircraft I have logged over 200 flights. In my opinion it is a great trainer and well worth the money.

RE: New Hanger 9 p-51 mustang **Trainer?!?**
I have nearly 200 flights on my PTS and I found the same problem with mine. It seemed with every takeoff I was adding more and more rudder. This got old quick so I began to investigate. What I found was the plastic hubs had worn out and the wheels were leaning against the strut. I replaced the wheels and now she takes off with ease...

RE: ???HANGER-9 PTS P-51 MUSTANG TRAINER???
I purchased the p-51 pts as a first gas plane. I found the first flight to be extremely easy with no surprises. After the first few flights I removed the training equipment and found it to fly much better. After around 50 flights I found the EVO .45 a little sluggish so I installed an .OS 55. I have purchased several aircraft since then and this is still my favorite plane. I would recommend this to anyone starting out.

The OS .55 will bolt into the same pattern as the EVO .45. You will have to do some additional carving on the cowl. It took me all of 30 min to install. The rest of the plane is simple to build. If you have all the parts it should only take you an evening in the garage.

RE: New Hanger 9 p-51 mustang **Trainer?!?**
I have about 100 flights on mine and I love it. I found the EVO .45 a little weak so I slapped in an OS .55 with a 13X8 prop. Now this plane screams and will do everything I want without effort.

RE: Hanger-9 P-51 PTS Mustang price
I purchased the RTF version of this last summer. Since then I have put well over 100 flights on it. I found the EVO .45 was a little weak so I threw a OS .55 in it with a 13x8 prop. Now it really screams and the vertical perfomance is awsome. If I had it to do over again I would have bought the ARF version. I found many things loose and not properly secured after it was too late. Since then I have built several other planes and this one is still my favriot. Well worth the money......
