RE: Seagull Spacewalker II 120 Arf
My DLE 30 has the rear mounted carb. A side mounted carb would probably mean you would have cut the side of the cowl. Brendan

RE: Seagull Spacewalker II 120 Arf
I first tried a standard pitts muffler from dle australia and for it to fit would have taken a fair bit of modification. I have used the one designed for the aeroworks cessna 195 and it fits perfectly.

RE: Seagull Spacewalker II 120 Arf
Coded Language, I like your tank setup. I have just finished installing a dle 30 in my spacewalker. Just waiting for our strip to dry out so I can fly it. The hardest part was getting the tank to fit for the dle. I have used a j tec custom made pitts muffler so I don't have to cut the side of the cowl. Brendan

Multiple Hitec 5645 Servos
I am building a 30cc space walker and have 6 hs 5645 servos in it. Im wondering is an eneloop 2000mah 6 volt battery enough to run these servos? If not, what battery should I use? I want to keep the setup simple as possible. Thanks Brendan

RE: DLE-30 Wrap-Around Muffler for ESM P-51
J tec have a pitts muffler for a aeroworks cessna 195 that will work with the standard standoffs. Have a look at the custom muffler section on their website, as they have some photo's there of it.

RE: NEW DLE30!
Just tried to install a pitts muffler from DLE Australia on my DLE 30 and with the engine mounted on the standard standoffs the muffler wont fit because it further aft than the engine mounts. Does anyone know of a pitts muffler for the DLE 30 that is more compact.[link]http://www.dlenginesaustralia.com/dlshop/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=354[/link]

Just wondering how the DLE 20 would perform on a Seagull Spacewalker 120. Specifications : •Wingspan: 2100mm (82.7") •Length: 1490mm (58.7") •Weight: 5kg •Engine: 120 - 150 4 stroke

RE: Six HS-5645mg Servos
I thought that 5 cell would have given me longer flight time, not thinking that its making the servos draw more current. Even with 4.8v I would get plenty of torque. I am more concerned about the current draw from the 6 digital servos. I was already planning to power the ignition with a 2000mAh 4 cell NiMh, as it can't handle anymore voltage.

Six HS-5645mg Servos
I am building a 30cc spacewalker and using 6 hitec hs-5645mg servos and Im wondering what battery setup I should use. This is my first plane with all digital servos. Normally I would use a 2000mAh 5 cell NiMh battery, but would this be enough, or should I run twin battery packs. Thanks Brendan

RE: Saito 62 for my 1/5 Clipped Wing Cub
I just maidened my world models 1/5 clipped wing on the weekend. Im using a magnum 91 fs, which is way over powered. Only flying around on 1/3 throttle. The only negative to your Saito 62 is that you will have to add a fair amount of nose weight, because mine balanced perfectly with the 91.

RE: World Models 1/5 Clipped Wing Cub
Hope you can see the side cover from this photo. This side has to be on the plane to put the false floor in over the servos, which mean you have to put it in from through the front window. With the magnum 91 4 stroke, I didnt have to do anything to make it balance, it was perfect. I was going to fly the plane today, but its blowing a gale, middle of winter here[:o] Might sneak in a maiden flight during the week if the weather fines up a bit. Its only taken me over 18 months to get this far a week wont matter[:D] The standard engine mount seemed to have the thrust already built in, but if bout to find out if that's enough.

RE: World Models 1/5 Clipped Wing Cub
If there is any close up photo's of any particular part of the plane you want just let me know. Yeah, the wheels are way better!!! I have put a magnum 91 four stroke with a 14 6 prop, and jr 539 servos and an eneloop 2000mah nihm 4 cell battery. I was going to put onboard glow, but with getting inside the fuse so hard, it would have been too hard to charge it all the time.

RE: World Models 1/5 Clipped Wing Cub
Trying to work out how to attach my photos. Im just bout to maiden mine. The only changes i made where I added dubro cub wheels and a new tail wheel because it was prettty crappy the one that came with it. The only thing I dislike so far about the plane is that the side panel to get inside the fuse isnt a very good fit and is reasonably hard to remove, restricting access to the inside of the fuse. Makes changing anything inside a bigger job than it needs be. Hoping to fly this weekend, depending on the horrible weather we are getting.
