The Badger switch is rated at 15 amps and the Wolverine which is essentially two Badger switches feeding a common output bus, is rated at 15 amps for each channel.

RE: Cutting curves with UltraCote
The surface you are cutting on matters (if you are using a blade vs a scissors....). Glass is best. If you cut on wood or some other soft material, it can catch the blade and ruin your cut. Also, you should have a guide for the blade. These can be circles of some material cut to the desired sizes. You cut the curve using the guide to the point of tangency with the ajoining straight line. I make my circles out of Formica. Not the best as you can still catch the blade in the formica if you are not careful. However, it is easy to work with and readily available - you can usually get a bunch of scrap material for free/cheap from a cabinet shop. It is then easy to cut the guide circles with a circle cutter. Also, if you want irregular curves (use a French curve...) you can still easily shape a Fromica guide piece. Metal would be a better material for this purpose but is harder for most to work with. Hope this helps.

RE: Spektrum receivers fail in flight!!!!!!
Well the difficulty is that we don't know the failure rates and Horizon won't release them for business reasons??? If the failure rates are something on the order of 1 in thousand or better people would accept that as the "luck of the draw". However, there have been many posts of the kind reported here from seemingly reasonable people - so without hard data others are leery. Yes, it is the people that have problems that post in these forums. Most who do not have issues are out flying and do not post. Once again, the readers cannot judge how good or bad things are without some information from Horizon. I for one would like to see some response from Horizon on failure rates. We need some data. Danny is a good guy but him simply saying, as he has on several occasions, "that there are no trends" is not convincing when at least some number of people keep popping up with this stuff. Lets see some data. If the rates are in fact good, it will only help business.

RE: 2 day events?
The "guidelines" that you refer to are just that - guidelines. They hold no force. The CD can run a one day contest, with or without Unknowns, and the Unknowns, if used, may be distributed on the day of the contest.

RE: 2 day events?
Two days are not a requirement. One round can make a contest - though not desireable. Unknowns are also not a requirement, though they are desireable. Read the intro material in the Flying & Judging Guide.
