RE: need some help
i think the chassis would need some modding to fit a savvy tranny but if you could find a motor mount that would work and you were careful when you set your slipper and wer careful bout how u drove it you could do it. but keep in mind if u pursue this u may end up having to get some expensive custom parts

I think it will probably be something 1/8th scale but i wish traxxas would come out with a new MT. Something that doesnt have anything to do with the Maxx or Revo series trucks

for the amount of money you would spend switching from your AS to a xxl you could probably get a new engine and a few other upgrades for ur AS and being as fast if not faster and more durable than a stock xxl

i might try ordering that part but for now i think im just going to try rear wheel drive. i have a diff from an xxl on order which will be here next week so im going to use that when i get it. the only thing im worried about is not having as much in air control with rear wheel drive only...

Ripping up my diffs
I dont know if anyone else has had this problem, but here it goes... In the last 3 weeks i have ripped up 2 rear diffs, and i have only ran my truck 3 times. I am running a modded Sportwerks .26 v2 that has some insane power but with the diffs shimmed properly and the slipper set at 1 1/4 turn out i dont know that could be happening. This is really annoying me and if i cant get this truck to be more reliable i might have to sell it

RE: Anyone own a Exceed-RC MAD BEAST?
as savagejim said, that truck looks alot like the duratrax warhead which is a fairly durable truck. But he is right, you mite as well just get the actual truck. just dish out the extra $100 and get the savage because there are so many more upgrades and replacement parts are everywhere. Also, the build quality is probably alot better on the savage than a knock off

RE: Want a big block nitro
vote goes to xxl. i own both losi and hpi trucks (lst2 and savage X) and both are great trucks. But the lst2 handles SO much better and in my opinion is more durable. I've also driven a mgt 8.0 and i hafta say that the lst2 beats it in the same ways. i think savages and mgt are great trucks...losi's are just better for overall bashing. if you want a pretty durable truck and dont care about handling or about shimming diffs every couple of runs, go for the savage. if u want great handling and a really durable truck then xxl is ur best bet IMO

RE: Want a big block nitro
ya the xxl handles SO much better than the savage xl and the mgt 8.0 combined. plus its faster and slightly more durable than the savage IMO. the mgt's drivetrain is kinda weak and the savage's engine is like u said "sub-par".
ORIGINAL: roystben
ORIGINAL: roystben i might not beable to get one lets see if handhelditems.com will give me my money back or send the gun back to me but if i dont get one i will still be looking foward to casting diffs thanks ,Ben
well maybe since christmas is just around the corner its on the top of my list hope i get it ive been wanting a mini nitro for long time[sm=teeth_smile.gif][sm=biggrin.gif]
Even tho im having alot of fun with my chaos, i'd recommend a Xray n18t or n18mt instead because they come with steel ball diffs, and they are just better trucks in general. No drive-train issues to worry about. But they are about twice the price... =P
