love my p-80. got it on a Roo......7 seconds from idle is about right...keep it about 20% on final and if you have to go around spoolup time is about 4 seconds

RE: Servo ext AWG
hey Pete. I make my own also. I purchase all my stuff from servo city. I use 20 g wire. I consider extensions to be a major problem spot in airplanes. The only connectors I use in my jets are where things have to come off such as wings. And I only use deans connectors there. By making your own you control quality.I have looked at all commercial extensions and find crimping quality varies quite a bit reguardless of price or manufacturer

RE: How do you afford your toys? CASH or CREDIT
CASH...I do fly most other peoples "hand me downs" My attitude is if I cannot afford to buy it I cannot afford to fly it!!!! It would be crummy to make payments on a crashed plane that I no longer had!

RE: Who is flying the small Velox from F/B
I had mine balanced right where they rec. On the front anti-rotation pins. I tied shoestring to the pins. hung it by them and balanced slightly nose down...I had a P-80 in mine and it took a LOT of nose weight. Goodluck Brian

RE: Can I use DX7 SPEKTRUM in BOOMERANG SPRINT JET?
Here is how I did it on a Roo Ch-1put both rudder servos and the nosewheel stearing on one channel...a servo reverser or matchbox helps a lot on the nosewheel servo Ch-2 elevator Ch-3 ailerons (y them together) Ch-4 Flaps Ch-5 Retracts Ch-6 throttle (Use single channel operation Ch-7 brakes That does it. I put the flaps on the two position switch and the brakes on the single switch. I use a simple on off valve for brakes and lube the hubs...works great like abs braking Goodluck Brian
