I'd contacted them already and they told me about that option. I was just wondering if anyone had one laying around that they might could scan for me. If anyone has it, again, I'd be very thankful to get a copy. Charles Parker

Phaeton 90 plans
So I went the oher day to start/ finish a phaeton 90 kit that had languished for a few years and dscovered that my instruction manual must have tasted good to insects as there are holes eaten all through it. If anyone has a construction manual for this plane that they could scan and email to me I'd certainly appreciate it. Email address is charlesparker007@gmail.com. Thanks in advance for the help from eveone out there! Charles Parker

Dornier 328 Jet
Does anyone know of where to get a simprop Dornier 328 Jet model? I'm not sure if they still make them or not. If anyone has one that they want to sell I'd like to talk to you, I fly the full scale version of this and it is my first jet so I'd like to have a model of it as well. Thanks for any help! Here is a link to one I found on google to show you what it looks like. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://static.rcgroups.com/forums/attachments/1/6/2/8/t1442659-20-thumb-DSCN0068.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php%3Ft%3D730296&h=150&w=200&sz=7&hl=en&start=3&um=1&usg=__c1nIiVUEwe1gNVQ9LwUFVtSkSRM=&tbnid=GEote19gLA5HXM:&tbnh=78&tbnw=104&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dsimprop%2Bdornier%2B328%2Bfor%2Bsale%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26rlz%3D1B3GGGL_enUS259US259%26sa%3DN Charles Parker

RE: Couple questions
Well let me get more specific. I clipped 3" off each tip to make the wing fit in my short bed full size sierra. It doesn't even know the difference. It runs well at full power but the idle never really gets very low, I don't have the tach reading, but it's sufficient to where the a/c will not stay still, it will not stop on the ground. I'm running a zinger 20X8 prop on it. I know that it is hard to believe but it will ever so slightly climb vertically. It suprised the heck out of me as well. I need to know what size the bolt is that holds on the muffler as I have no documentation and no way to find out quickly on my own so if someone knows offhand that would be great. I was looking at it and there just doesn't look like theres much room for a helicoil there. A friend of mine suggested putting steel wool into the muffler and that might slow down the exhaust enough to let it cool before it comes out. It's so blasted loud due to it not really being a muffler but more of a keep the exhaust out of the engine compartment device.

Couple questions
I've got a Quadra 52 on my giant stinger which I've clipped 6" off of the wing. I put a new carb kit on it and it still doesn't run very well. When it does run though it'll will keep the stinger in a vertical climb.... barely. One of the mounting bolt holes for the muffler has stripped out somehow and I was wondering if it can be helicoiled? Or what would be the best way to fix it? Also I've got a bennet muffler on itif you can even call it a muffler.... This thing is ridiculously loud. Anyone have any ideas on how to quiet it down a bit? I've considered just buying a different motor altogether, what are everyones thoughts on a taurus 4.2 with ignition? Thanks, c.p.

I am not giving up yet, The radio caused me to lose a perfectly good 20x8 zinger prop in a fence today when the throttle cut function didn't work like it was supposed to, it was a good show though! Thank goodness no-one was there. I will mess with those functions tommorrow. C.P.

9z dual rudder servo problems
I have been working on trying to figure out this 9z for a month or so now on and off. I'd gotten some help on here a while back, and I've managed to work it down to one problem. How do I get the rudder servo and the aux1 servo to work together?!!@# I can get them to work, but the trims wont follow nor will dual rates. Someone on here advised me to use ailevator to get the two elevator servos to agree and follow dual rates and trims; and they also told me to use flaperons I believe to do the same for ailerons. I've tried using the function command to get rud and aux1 to work together, but the trims do not follow. I've also tried using the pmix function but that still doesn't work. Also in the Pmix function which one should I use to get equal throws on each servo. Linear doesn't seem to work. HOV seems to work but I can only guess that it stands for hover? Does anyone have any ideas? Also my servos will work fine at one position but at their limits they are always fighting. Help! C.P.

O.S. 91fs backfiring question
I've got a O.S. 91 fs and I've had it for around 4 to 5 years. I haven't touched it for the last 3 years, and I decided to put it back into service. I took it ocmpletely apart and cleaned and oiled it and put it back together correctly. Set the valve clearances, and made sure that the timing mark was straight down when the piston was at tdc. It ran fine with the old plug and a wooden prop for a couple of flights. I wanted a slower idle so I bought a new os f plug and installed it and bought a master airscrew k series prop to act as a flyweight. It runs ridiculously slow now, I haven't tached it yet but it is slow! Anyway it has great response but whenever I get it way up there and get it back to idle quickly I may hear a couple of backfires. If I retard the throttle slowly from full, there is no problem. Also If I come down from altitude @ idle in a rapid descent it will start backfiring like crazy. It does it when I load the prop up like that. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? I've always treated this thing like a baby and it's never backfired on me before. Thanks! C.P.

RE: Help!!! 9Z questions
Sounds like that might work. I got it rigged up somehow good enough to fly right now but boy oh boy is it ugly. I've got different amounts of throw on the ailerons for some reason, and to get the dual rates to work on the elevator I had to use two of them and assign both to one switch. Is that the Clinton field? if so, thats where this birds made its maiden and only flight before being hangared for 4 years, only to just now be rebuilt and refurbed. What are the directions to your field? I also am a professional pilot and so I'm only around sporadically as well. Not sure when I'll be here or not. C.P.

Help!!! 9Z questions
Please help me, I sat at the field today for 45 minutes beating my head against this receiver trying to get it to do what I want. I have a giant Stinger with two elevator servos and two rudder servos and two ailerons, as well as a smoke and a throttle servo. All are directly plugged into the receiver. I want to have dual rates on them but when I do this it only works for one half of a control surface. I am using pmiz to get the one surface to slave to the other one but the dual rates aren't following to the slaved servo. Can anyone help me? C.P.

Please help! Futaba 9z question on programming
I just got a used 9z wc2, and I have been pulling my hair out trying to program it. I have a split elevator with a servo on each side, and a rudder with two servos on it. And I will have one servo for each aileron also. I've got everything moving in the right direction, but when I try to trim something only one servo moves. Can anyone point me in the right direction as how to basically set up two servos, with one slaved to the other and be able to have it reverse direction if I need, and how to adjust each one individually to keep them from fighting one another, and then be able to have the trim work simultaneosly on both? Please help! C.P.

RE: Please help! Futaba 9z question on proggramming
Just so yall can see what this is for. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_2815630/anchors_2816459/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#2816459 There is my baby, I spent $600 on the whole setup tears back, and now I've spent $680 on a 9z, $350 on 6 futaba 9402 servos, $35 on Airwild aluminum zero lateral play arms, $35 on Abellhobbies carbon fiber pushrods, more on new ultracote for the control surfaces, and all the various bits and accoutrement. Oh yes, the guy who was helping me set this up was saying that some of the switches will still activate certain channels, so lets say one of my elevator servos are on 5, if I hit the switch that's attatched to 5 other that the joystick then it could possibly deflect one half of my elevator by itself? Is that possible even? C.P.

RE: Sig 1/6 cub mods
I have had a good bit of time to work on the fuse the past 2 weeks and it is almost done. I have replaced all of the tail control surfaces, as the stock ones were ok for a j-3 but not even close to a PA-18. I made laminated outlines with 4 layers of 1/16x1/4 balsa over cardboard forms. They will be hinged with Robart hinge points with a scale hinge gap, around 1/16" in 1/6 scale. I was always unhappy with the shape of this cub's tail and now it looks good.
