RE: supervee 27 brushless ????'s
So then does the rx get power from the batteries then?, and would 2 3800mah be good enough?

supervee 27 brushless ????'s
Hey guys i got a quick question for ya! I have a supervee 27 brushless and was wondering if the brushless motor should be alittle hard to turn over by hand or if it should be freewheeling and easy to spin over? And also i noticed the esc does not have an on/off switch and no room for a rx pack, and no where in the intructions does it say to plug your rx pack in... im not real new to rc boats just this boat lol, any help would be great thanks andy

RE: Convert a Revo 2.5 to brushless or buy a new 3.3 Mamba
ORIGINAL: thechap76 the bonus to builing the truck is you get to know the truck...uve built it..theres alotta pride that comes with being able to say ''I BUILT THAT''... but i understand the cost part....in the end i think we would all be happier building are own trucks
amen to that!! i think that if you build your own truck you do have a lot of pride for and you dont go pyshco on it and beat the everlivn crap out of it.. you apprecaite it more when you do the conversion yourself. i going to be converted my 3.3 race revo in to brushless nightmare on wheels! im going to be using the castle creations mamba max monster system in it!! cant wait to start that project this weekend!!
ORIGINAL: ajb1205 Here is a link to my build http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?t=528880 I have since switched over to a Vantage carbon fibre chassis and am waiting for a Vantage v-armour I scored off ebay for super cheap. The Tekno conversion and MMM 2200kv combo are the way to go IMHO.
hey guys just had a quick question for everyone here.. i just got an emaxx in a trade from here and i hooked up my spektrum dx3s radio to it with my sr300 rx and got the steering and the aux for the shifting servo working just fine but i get no forward or reverse out of the stock evx..i was thinkin about putting in the evx-2 and goin that route but wasnt sure if the stock titan 550's are the same on the older verison then on the newer 16.8 version....i dont wanna go brushless just yet with this truck...so i wanna get to still screem with nimh's still...(at least for the moment).. ideas on pinion/spur combo to use, or any other ideas thanks andy

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
Hey thanks for the info! I just upgraded my bulkheads to the new style ones the other nite so i have those installe# now. I really dont wanna screw up my diffs lol...so maybe i wont do that, but can u run two 3s lipos in paralell for some reason im drawing a blank... i want this thing to scream but at the same time pop the frt end up when i want it to...i was thinking about installin a heatsink on the motor or a cooling fan setup up on it.. Ive been toying with the idea of changing the esc and motor to a castle but i like being able to not worry so much about water ruining the electrics... who makes higher mah 2s lipos ive got the 2400 mah venom ones

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
ok guys quick question for ya, i was just wondering how to get my merv to do those kick@ss backflips im running 2s 2400 mah lipos in paralell i just did my 2nd "cycle' with the lipos after there first ever use in my merv. i am running the stocker 28t pinion and the stock 50t spur. i was thinking about getting the 55t spur and see if that would make a difference or not lol..i do have a stock mini slash pinion that i pulled off after i did my mini slash to merv conversion. also what rear springs so i get to get the rear to stop squatting so much..im gonna upgrade my shocks to as well here soon. andy

RE: Official Traxxas 1/16th Mini E-Revo/Slash Battery Thread!
hey guys i just picked up a set of the venom 2s 2400mah lipos for my mini revo, im running the stock pinion and i have the 45, 50, and the 55 tooth spurs...which one work work the best for a 50/50 mix of speed and wheelies. i was told that the 50 is a good all around spur with the stock pinion.. i have seen these suckers do there backflips and front flips and i wanna be able to do the with mine to once in awhile....thanks andy

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
ORIGINAL: Arakon If it makes a cracking sound and you still have the old bulkheads, that is why.. they get pressed part on hard acceleration and make the gears skip. Replace them with the ''X'' versions (7029x and 7030x I think), and it'll stop. If you don't use those, the ring gear will eventually lose teeth.
ahhh ok cool thanks!!! now is the new bulkheads made a different material or something? so far this project hasnt been to bad....i do wanna pick up the stock spur and pinion that come on the factory mini revo, will those still get the revo to do the standing backflips with dual 2s lipo 2000mah cause thats what im gonna get for the truck on friday when i head over to the hobby shop andy

RE: OFFICIAL REVO THREAD- EVERYTHING REVO
yea the one first vid that i have up there of the revo is when the motor only had like 12 tanks ran through it....and after that things just seemed to go down hill..i have been thinkin bout going to the reddot..cause the one i had in before was the blue head picco maxx motor...i loved the motor when it ran great..the 3.3 is just temporary for now till i can find a nice motor that will do the job..and having the center diff in the revo made a huge difference..no more wheelies on demand [:o] which is ok..and dkastil.. i too always have my tuning screwdriver on hand as well lol...i think the big problem with my old picco was it might have had an air somewhere that i never could find lol....how is the red-dot picco..i just saw that motor in this months r/c driver mag..
ORIGINAL: TMaxxDriver Black i just saw your video on youtube.. it didnt look like anything was wrong with it!! wheelie on command!! what more do ya want?! i personally dont think the 3.3 has the power that the Picco does... RE: OFFICIAL REVO THREAD- EVERYTHING REVO
well i think the biggest reason why i didnt like the picco was the fact that when it came to tuning the motor it was so stinkin pickin that even the slightest turn on the needle made the motor to hot or to rich and i could never find that sweet spot so i just gave up on it..but i went to my hobby shop yesterday and picked up a new 17t bell for my 3.3 thats in the revo now..so im gonna try and get it out tomorrow and see what happens....
ORIGINAL: dkastil black why did you not like 2.7 hp in the picco and go with .93 you had to go 34 or 36 spur and 17 threw 20 clutch bell to take advantage of the power
