RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club
I have several hundreds of flights/landings from grass and pavement with no landing gear failures by using 1/8 music wire. See this thread post number 138 and it's link. The wire gear soaks up the stress unlike the stock gear which only transfers the stress to the fuselage. Bob

RE: Anybody running A123's in a 450 size heli?
I have a T-Rex 450 with a pair of A123 2300 on the battery tray and a pair between the skid rails. They are connected 4S1P and the Rex is about 3 oz heaver than with standard LiPo’s. Fly’s great for me and I will never go back to LiPo’s. I am using standard gearing with speed control set for percent type cut-off. Flight time 8-9 min. of non 3-D flying. Bob

RE: FS one by Horizon Hobbies
In “Options Selection / Physics / Sim Rate Multiplier the choice of multipliers are 0.20, 0.25, 0.33, 0.50, and 1.00. These reduce simulator speed by 80, 75, 67, 50, 0 percent respectfully. For myself I can not see a need for such large cuts and wonder why there is such a large gap between 50% and 0%. To me the setting would be far more useful if these were reversed, that is multipliers of 1.00, 0.80, 0.75, 0.67, 0.50. An user controlled slider or the ability to enter a value like the other popular sims have would be nice. Along these lines it would more user friendly if this multiplier feature was not global but assignable to each specific model. Fine tuning each model’s sim rate is great way to match the sim flying to actual field flying characteristics. On the Blade CP lowering the rate multiplier to 0.50 helped a lot, but I think the sweet spot is somewhere around 0.65. All in all it is a great simulator which I am enjoying and learning from.

RE: Airtronics Vanguard with AFP
will not work even on the Toshiba, but I bet changing the stereo mini plug to a mono will fix that. Bob
