mode 1
You know I have never seen a bad mode 1 flyer for some reason, but have seen lots of mode 2, food for thought.

RE: Mode 1
Mode 1 flyers were smooth flyers you know, you dont have to cross control . I have watched many a mode 2 flyer they seemed to input one control and then the other. some times it harder to bring one stick into the corner fighting spring tensions.

RE: Curare 60 - Build
I talk to Hanno in 1977 In Vagas when he won again and again the T/C . the reason he did not put a spinner on is because he moved the engine around so much is to find the right set so the plane would fly straight and track ,when i seen the plane he was flying that week the engine must have been to the right and down some, to put a spinner on that it would have stuck out a 1/4 of a inch out past the nose.

RE: Dirty Birdy versus Phoenix 7?
I started flying pattern in the 70"s I think i flew just about all of them, P-6 P-7 Nutcracker, Saturn,Banshee,Dirty Birdy, A-6 Intruder,Curare, I could go on and on but the double tapered wing and the tapered front straight back just seemed to fly better, better rools, stalls, etc. I ended up flying Expert/Masters ( Mode 1 flyer) .
