F-27Q stryker 180 micro
well its ever thing they said . i have enjoyed buzzing it around the truck stops . safety rest stops. and so on .. its tuff enough to bonk the ground and fly again. i had thought i was going to fix it . but i only to pick up the cover for the lipo box and put it back on .... back in the air i went . there is only 1 thing i can think about telling you. it has not had a light put on i t. unplugging the lipo make sure not to pull on the leads going to the speed controller. just food for thought . it will tear the foam wall then tug on the speed controller . i got a little tear in the foam so far. it only took one time the lipo slipped out of my hands. it made a little tear in the foam!

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
i was looking at the Saito FG-14 Gasoline Engine (82G). the Walbro/Saito Carburetor stick's out more than the nitro Carburetor . im thinking maby it will hit the motor mount. were the mount bolts to the fire wall . or dose it clear ? not the motor mount that come's with it. the motor mount that is in place from the nitro motor. i was looking at the one that comes with it . its is nice but it is heaver than the hanger9

some times you have to.you have some off the wall duck tape.you put it on the throttle linkage . hanger9 likes stuff to be on the wrong side for a Saito...[&:] so how bad dose it look? a duck taping job will it fly in NASCAR?

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
by the way a 17x apc propeller max rpm is 11,176. and this is what happens when you go past it![&o] as posted above landing backwards is just so much fun ... now for the safety tip. make sure to stand behind the propeller. do not to the side or in the sux side of the propeller . you never can tell when a saito . will throw its propeller off at you . or if it brakes and now its sticking in you !

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
i all way's make new words when i crash a model. i had a 17x4W apc come apart in mid aid. it ripped the motor out of the fire wall. lol most of us know what the will do to the cg. other than the motor ripping out the fire wall and watching my saito 125 falling to the ground . i made pelnty of new words. as i landed a twist 60 now the hard part was flying it back wards . seeing how the tail was now the heavy side . i made a real nice landing didn't even bounce

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
you know its funny how a motor on a model can make it cool or not . now you can have some old raspy 2 stroke with a tune pipe on it . on a pylon racer. it will raise a few eye brows . most will cover there ears and step back but you take a saito on a ugly-stick and they will all look twice and point . its really funny! some one could have got 3 or 4 ugly stick. all for the price of one saito . or take me i putt a 125 on a 60 size twist . man talk about over kill . first of all it will climb straight up. just a 1/4 throttle . how ever you can come straight down full throttle. chop throttle and land with a APC 17X4 W. if you have some wind. enough to make the wind sock stand out some. i can take off and go backwards down the field. so how come i didn't putt a 60 2stroke . not enough torque. so putt a 90 on it now it burns to much fuel and still no torque Recommended prop sizes: 14x8, 15x6-8, 16x6-8 for a 95AX Engine .. i can run a 17x 6 prop at 1500 rpm's on the bench. let it roll for a bit. and fly and never move the throttle. and never worried about a dead stick. how ever the 17x6 make it 2 fast .i ripped off the rudder . boy its tuff to fly with a rudder flapping around. the only saito i have that has fits. is the 50 i have . [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wz76dbfQ_3A]youtube[/link] it dose not like to idle. i have even try ed a heavy spinner nut and flywheel. lol it gets close to 2000 rpm's and dead stick. for a time it was in a Hangar 9's 40 Pulse . at 2500 rpm it would just start to roll so landing would float untill you dead stick it .

i wish i had not peeled off the old gasket off the cam cover and block. getting it back on with out movement of the cam or misplaced gasket was tough to do . best advice is to get cam set and use push rod to poke down the lifter each one recheck cam and install . i would have taking pic but no free hands to do that

RE: motor tuneing
no two carbs are the same. so tuneing it like your buddys and his or hers is still faster that is how come ... 2 gas over glow fule . you burn more glow then gas .. you need less fule makes tuneing that much harder next if you burning less this means 1 little pice of trash in you fule is going to give you a pain . a good filter to stop the trash from getting in the needle and cloging your flow . but this is stuff you allready new so pay no mind to my babbling's imho it never hurt to run a little fat on the fule

RE: ElectriFly Fokker DR-1 EP ARF
it lands good in short grass at the r/c club houston sport flyers< didnt flip over on its nose > how ever i was up a good ways in the air and slowed it down to a stall and powered up real hard it rolled hard 5 or 6 times hard like a hooked big mouth bass . for a small bird its easy to see and tell up and down on it

ElectriFly Fokker DR-1 EP ARF
i have been putting off flying my new Fokker Dr1 for some time i had heard many bad things about it . IE its short body and big rudder and flips over . its far from that for a small park flyer it handles real nice even in the wind the cg came out 4mm to the tail and that is another thing i was pondering about the tail never squated or acted heavy . it dose 3d well to the rudder works well for this and it will knife edge to my suprize i put a 400 eflight outrunner in it 10 x4.7 prop . if you have thought about getting into this set up go for it . ill putt up a vido of it flying soon

you know mine comes off the ground so fast i dont have time to use the rudder the saito 82 with a 14x6 3 clickes off idle and you have flight i could let it taxi out and see what you alll are talking about but mostly it grunts when i move it to half throttle and moves less than a foot and its air born <<< edit i get some p roll at slow speed and i gas it real hard but it only moves the wing 3 to 5 and the most i have goten out of it im thinking it was me moveing the rudder wicking the throttle>>>>
