RE: KEN/TEN FLYING
Stopping in to say Happy New Year to you all! Been an unusually busy year. Hope to get back to this great hobby and learn to fly again soon. I have been keeping the batteries charged and fuel lines flexible. Scott and myself have been playing with a few nitro cars he picked up for cheap. It helps me remenber how to turn on a radio but no thrill like flying. Hope to get together with you soon!
ORIGINAL: JNohsey Hey got this from someone who knows me. Not sure who he is. anyone know of anything????? From: jay cobra jaycobra@hotmail.com To: jnohsey@bellsouth.net Sent: Sunday, May 02, 2010 4:06 PM Subject: gas plane Hey Jim I got your email address from Natham. I flew with you some in Millington back in the 90's with Gator and Larry. He told me that you where in to gas planes more now than glow. I'm looking for something in the 50 cc range. Think that is all that I need right now, may move up to 100 cc later. Would like to get one that is ready to fly, but I would like to find something with good servos incase I can use them later in something else (100 cc?), motor and airframe,, battires?? Not sure what type. A123 or li-po, don't think I need nicads or nimh on this type plane. I have an 2,4 system (JR). If you know of something let me know. Thanks, Jay
Scott has his 50cc Bipe at Jackson Discount Hobbies for $500 plus their mark up. It is RTF including a 2.4 receiver.

RE: MT 35 Looks Like a Winner
ORIGINAL: tele1974 ''The MT35s we sell will all have a larger better performing carb installed'' Are you kidding!!!   I am sure you are not.  That really torques me in a number of ways.  Supply a new choke shaft... whatever.... they are getting a entirely different carb for it??? It literally takes me months to save up for a motor...and to hear that... Wow!  Proud to have the motor,  I thought I would post some video of it and come to find out... Well that carb you have.     Its already going to be replaced.  Great!   What a kick in the nards. Oh wait... so I recieved a motor and it was known that the carb was going to be upgraded?  Double Wow!
Happens all the time with new offerings. Actually it is a good thing because it means that the manufacturer is listening to the end user. It does not mean that there is anything wrong with your engine. I bought one of the early RCGF 26 engines and the next week the hub had a significant improvement that I missed out on so I know how you feel. Maybe you will get the upgrade offered but I am sure it will come with a cost. Enjoy your new prize.

Has anyone had an issue with their charger giving Error 112? I have upgraded firmware, tried different modes, different batteries and chemistry, different node adapters and can't get past the error code. Thanks

Hey Biplane Jim (or anyone else), If you are interested in a Great Planes (Scotts) Ultimate biplane give Scott or me a call. He is selling his RTF w/AR7000 receiver for $550. It had the nose smashed but is repaired. The RCGF 50cc engine has only about 2 gallons through it.
ORIGINAL: Nogyro If we get a couple of flying days here the next week, it's sure going to wet our whistle again I know that! The new Yak looks great and good to hear the maiden went well. I have been hunting more than I should have been this winter. The ducks are not playing fair but it is picking up now. that will be over soon and hopefully the weather will break some. I think all of my planes are ready. Now Scott's, that is a different story. i have his crashed Bipe on my table now and trying to find time to repair it. I also have his new Edge in the shop waiting in line. He is spending all of his time working, usually 12 hrs 6-7 days a week.

RE: MLD-28 gasoline engine
You might try chucking the one you got from Ace in a drill press, turn it on and hold a file to the head to turn it down enough to fit the recess in your spinner. I have done it that way many times.

RE: KEN/TEN FLYING
LOL.......I just thought that was the way they were supposed to land! I've seen you drag the tail of a 100cc plane all over the runway so when you land a foamy on its nose it must be intentional.

RE: KEN/TEN FLYING
From what I saw, you don't need floats. I never saw a controlled landing. Or you might put the floats/landing gear on the nose. Seems to be alot of them trying to land nose first.

RE: MLD-28 gasoline engine
Same here. I was also considering a DL 30 but after seeing the issues I will continue with the MLD 28. My MLD turns a xoar 18x6 8300 rpm's with 1 1/2 gallons through it. It is lighter than the DL on the plane and on the wallet. Rock solid performer for me and a friend. The DL will be a great engine after they have been around awhile but for now it is the MLD for me.
