RE: Quick FYI: Finally Weighed The 1/8 King Tiger
Mine should be delivered very soon. Let me know how you work out the "C" shackles. Also, can I get the specs on your battery?Voltage and amp hour rating? Here is the link to my build thread. http://hobbyhavoc.com/forum/index.php?topic=1038.0

RE: Banana Hobby
Not what I meant..........I was not clear......I no longer buy ANY HL's...from anyone. But thats just me.At the same time.......I no longer buy any new Tamiya's either. I would not buy an airplane or a boat from these type of sites either.I had a VERY bad experience with Banana Hobby about 3 years ago......I will not go into detail on a public forum. On a personal note....I have shifted to 1/8 scale RC Armory.I will keep my existing Tam's and my HL Panther(cuz I really like it).....but all other HL's will be sold soon. BIGMIG makes a very good point though.......you just have to ask yourself....is the potential hassle worth it...if its a DOA? You take a risk with HL...no matter who you buy from...luckily...they are easy to fix and get running

RE: Storing a tank when not in use
My Tamiya KT weighs in at about 17lbs....so I keep small blocks of wood underneath to save the torsion bars. I do the same with all of my tanks.

RE: Captured YOSEGAKI SILK FLAG
Dont sell ! Keep it in your family...pass it down.I have two Arisaka rifles(with Mum intact) that I have acquired over the years...both made in the city (Nagoya) were my step-father was born. I would like to consider them as family hierlooms.....even though I bought them. I would be upset if one of my hiers went and sold them......would like them to be passed down and kept in the family.

RE: Off Topic - how much real work can your hobby help you do?
At first I thought....wow !....then ...why? RC of any kind is a fun hobby....but this borderlines on mental instability......just my opinion. I am thinking....a very lonely person? Its a bit much. I guess he just wanted to prove it could be done......I would have dug a POOL in the backyard instead,LOL Said the guy who drives RC tanks around miniature battlefields[8|]

RE: Better quality screws for HL's??
I dont have any...but I have heard that you can use 5min JB weld to fill the stripped out hole...thread the screw in(coated in light oil)...let harden and remove.Supposedly, you will be left with a new...threaded screw hole. I have not tried it...yet... but I have heard it works

.....sorry, just re read your question.....you want the "original" ......not a better one? Because the sound is incorrect on the original....is the same as the M-5 Stewart. The Abrahms should be a turbine sound not a piston engine sound
